  1. Hey peeps I managed to fix it...I used Clean flight instead of baseflight for some reason it is now level. hmm weird. anyways my first flight! i did a hover in the room and slow turns and yaw basic stuff etc.. (angle mode on) 15mins of flight, all good so far! i was very afraid and full of joy at the same time when i saw that thing i built flew haha. will take it out when the sun comes out! its very wet here in Glasgow. thanks for the replies i really appreciate them.
  2. yes and yes.the motors fight my hand when i move the copter.
  3. Hey guys! I am almost finish with my quadcopter 250, the only thing i have a problem with is one of the motors which causes the quad to lean to the left (i think) the config on baseflight is quad X, during the motor test, the motors 1,2 and 3 all start at the same time, however motor 4 starts to rotate a little later. motor 1, 2 and 3 rotates at 1167 but motor 4 start to rotate at 1181. i did a test holding the quadcopter to see if the motors responds when i tilt the quad to its axis... they do respond, however the quad is not level as if motor 3 & 4 have less power so its leaning to the left like this / I calibrated the accelerometer, ESC's and played with the CG but no luck. any ideas? best regards.
  4. awesome thanks! yeah i also got told by other users with T6 transmitter that it works with the naze32 via PWM. im all set!
  5. Hello friends! sorry to bother. Ive been reading and purchasing parts for my first quadcopter since monday, i think i have ran into something and need assistance. I purchased this transmitter with receiver http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00WUE6GWK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 and now comes to the flight control board. i cant seem to understand this...do i have to buy a flight control board that supports my transmitter and receiver? i was looking at the NAZE 32 board, in the "features" it says supports standard receivers (PWM), PPM Sum receiver (FrSky, etc), SBUS, or Spektrum satellite receivers. I can't find anything in the transmitter's manual about PWM, PPM SUM or SBUS. However the transmitter specs shows "Output: PPM" is that the same as PPM SUM? The only parts i need left is a lipo and the flight control board, but im stuck on this, so ill sleep on it. cheers!
  6. ok guys before i even thought about posting this i googled some and read the manual but still not giving me answers. so here it is. this charger http://www.etronix-rc.com/rc-charging-equipment/rc-%20chargers/etronix-powerpal-80w-ac-dc-performance-charger-discharger has a program "discharge>charge" cycle could also be switched the other way round. it lets you choose how many cycles you want up to 1-5 so when you press start the whole process starts up. but how am i suppose to know what current and voltage its putting in? it doesnt give me the option to any values just 1-5 cycles. doing this on a nimh 7.2volts 6 cell 4700mah. cheers!
  7. thanks guys, very helpful information from everyone I just purchased the radio with receiver, it'll come in a few days and i am very excited as it is my first computerized transmitter. I have no idea what im doing
  8. sorry to post another topic but i have been looking online for a FRSKY Taranis PLUS transmitter but they've all been sold out or back ordered. giantshark have 24 of them in stock but the description says "There is one item missing, the SWR check of the transmitter antenna is no longer available. " http://www.giantshark.co.uk/product/172253/frsky-taranis-plus-x9d-transmitter what is SWR? in hobbysport, they're packcage is a little better it comes with receiver and aluminium case for just
  9. yeah it seems like im going for that at the moment since every review about the taranis is pretty positive and not a bad price either.
  10. so i managed to work extra hours last weekend and got
  11. looks fast what motor and battery have you got on that bad boy.
  12. im just doing some estimates how much a quadcopter will cost me build from scratch and found some ebay flight controls which averagely cost around
  13. I;ve got a 2200mah nimh that came with the car which takes like 6 hours to charge so i can only pretty much do two 5mins runs everyday. i will be buying another nimh battery when i buy a charger, but will eventually upgrade the car to lipo & brushless in the future.
  14. looks good do you know if the uk mains plug is detachable from the charger?
  15. yyeah the bearings are sealed. i checked and its the wheel/tires that are not even in related to the centre of the wheel.
  16. very helpful sir, thanks for writing this also ill definitely add that charger to my "potential to buy"
  17. another day, another question. so i was all over INTERNET researching about chargers, one thing i have noticed and confused about is: do chargers need a power supply? can you just not plug the damn thing on the wall and charge away? i saw this guy http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__45114__IMAX_B6_AC_Charger_Discharger_1_6_Cells_GENUINE_with_UK_plug.html i watch/read about it in the review videos but when i saw at the bottom of the sales page. it says "Note: Power supply not included." huhhhhhHH? i thought the standard uk wall plug included was the power source no? I also saw this guy with a built-in power supply http://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-powerpal-ac-dc-balance-charger-discharger/rc-car-products/369852
  18. thanks guys i will update in the next few days when i get the time to inspect the car
  19. so yesterday i decided to take my new rc (FTX vantage) for a 5 min run, i didnt do any jumps or anything just coasting and fast by. I was running it on damped grass and pavement + also a little light shower. now when i got home while cleaning the car, i noticed this noise, like a metal rattling noise when i push the car forward and even louder going back. I am absolutely new to this hobby and have no idea how the gearing system works etc...so i wouldnt know if theres something wrong but i would like you guys to check it out anyway just to make sure. when the radio and batt plugged in the car everything sounds normal to me but then i am a noob here it is anyways. heres with battery can you tell me if this sounds normal. thanks [uPDATE] opened up the car, removed some dirt from the gears and it all sounds fine now. although i stripped a couple of screw holes even though i was extra careful with it
  20. is it possible to charge AA batteries on an rc bat charger? im talking about the AA nimh rechargable batteries, i currently have a crappy 2x AA battery charger and it takes 10hrs to charge 2700mah! oh and my transmitter takes 8x AA batteries just wanna know if its possible so i can invest on a good rc car charger instead of buying AA battery charger and an rc charger. thanks
  21. just signed up here total noob in the rc car division here. I am on the market for my first rc car can anyone recommend something under
