Danieljw Posted January 16, 2015 Share Posted January 16, 2015 hi guys been around for a while now, been into pretty much my whole life, majority of it being 1/8th buggy racing... until i discovered multi-rotor, so i picked up the courage and made my first hobby king order.. my parts were chosen from viewing various forums uk and us, youtube reviews, build logs. i have chose: 2x Multistar 2204 Elite motors! (was going to choose the baby beast 2206, but apparently the power draw is something crazy.) 12A Afro OPTO ESC's, seems they have proven really reliable so far CC3D flight controller, easy enough for a noob like me to set up, lots of bias reviews on both sides for cc3d and Naze Acro, don't need GPS or anything like that..yet! ZMR frame... yes Chinese *****, may break BUT its my first self built quad, arms are silly cheap and its not too bad if it does break a new one is like Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tamiyacowboy Posted January 16, 2015 Share Posted January 16, 2015 sounds good daniel and the best part there aint no other cars to get in your way lol lots of open wide space. i think that is the grasping hand of flight, that full 360 freedom . no longer are you stuck to a flat surface. zmr frame yeah its cheap but so are the others, they do the job just less fancy. and they have that flex in them giving a floaty sensation under heavy weights. Danieljw Posted January 23, 2015 Author Share Posted January 23, 2015 well here she is, built and test flown, its fast, very fast! currently using 5030 props and count imaging going any bigger right now. she hovers fine.. the frame is bit pants really, its reallything compared to the max QAV frames. no FPV yet, just learning to fly LOS.
