locking a centre diff

Assuming you just want to stop the front wheels slipping, you'd probably be better off putting a thicker oil in it rather than locking it completely. Less chance of uncontrollable wheelies, backflips and smashed bodyshells. I speak from experience! :)

Ah, I see. I locked the front diff of my CC-01 with paper once. Rolled pieces of paper a few cm long into tube shapes and stuffed them around the satellite gears, if you squash them in tightly enough it works surprisingly well. I've also heard of blutack being used but I've never tried it myself. I think there's a guide to using blutack in the drifting section somewhere.

Blutac will be no good for brushless, I was only running 4s on my hyper st truggy and it chewed blutac within seconds, managed to chew hot glue within a battery pack, I went with quick steel in the end, still going now ;)

Blu tack doesn't last long in my experience. It turns into a nasty paste and doesn't lock any more. Shoe Goo works well.
