My tip for anyone buying one or the team c cars if your going to push it to the limits then try and stretch to the more expensive pro kits their worth the money once you look at what parts are upgraded

The thing is, you shouldn't have to buy hopups for your buggy to be able to run 4s, especially when the car is not a conversion but is actually sold as an e-buggy that has two battery trays (that indicates it was designed to run 4s as a minimum).

I agree with you Optimus the thing is the team c cars the pro ones came first then they decided to make the lower spec cars to attract a wider Custermer base and most the time it's worked the annoying thing is how cheap you can get the pro cars off eBay for I've not paid much more than

The steel on the t8e are all hardened and last longer I will do a comparison video for you guys if you want all these cars are the same its slight differences that they have done to each check Asiatees for t8e for the cvd shafts and the diff outdrives are these http://www.asiatees.com/display?Team-C-T8E-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Team%20C&model=T8E&id=78846&pid=1 you need two of these for front and rear diffs and one of these for centre http://www.asiatees.com/display?Team-C-T8E-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Team%20C&model=T8E&id=78859&pid=1

Hi Neil,

That would be really good!

I can't work out which are the uprated CVD's could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks mate

T8te are hard to find because there's no major 1/8 electric truggy class in the uk it's mainly nitro but if you want one go for it this is the cheapest I've found http://www.ebay.com/itm/291226704929

But watch out for the tax on that one.

And looney the front ones you have now are ok there's just two centre ones http://www.asiatees.com/display?Team-C-TR8E-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Team%20C&model=TR8E&id=78921&pid=1

http://www.asiatees.com/display?Team-C-TR8E-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Team%20C&model=TR8E&id=78927&pid=1 and the rear ones http://www.asiatees.com/display?Team-C-TR8E-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Team%20C&model=TR8E&id=78912&pid=1 and the hardened out drives

But if you want upgrades keep an eye on eBay for people selling rolling chassis they go cheap and it will save cash in the long run

Hi Neil,

Thanks for that! I bought the front ones already as the ones my kit came with didn't move freely.

They aren't too expensive, think I'll give it a few weeks see how the out drives go if they get much worse I'll replace the lot.

Once that's all done do you think there are any other upgrades worth getting?

Ninjagaiden I know the one you mean its the tr8t which I'd avoid like the plague as the chassis is worse than the ansmann virus for bending and for a bit more there's the pro t8t cars come up now and again.

And as far as any more upgrades the alloy chassis braces are a good buy and I got these to help the wing mounts take a bit more of a beating http://www.teamcracing.net/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=616&category_id=50&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71

Took the team c to herts nitro track in ware this afternoon had a really good time nothing like the pros lol took my car into ware rc and the guy (Gary) helped me make some adjustments to the car and handles so much better!

Little jealous of the nitro boys....just the sound of them!

Think I need to adjust some of the settings on the esc think the power delivery comes in too strong any suggestions on set up?

What are your current settings? I've turned the punch down to 3 on mine because I thought the acceleration was a little aggressive. Part of the problem could be my heavy trigger finger though...

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi guys,

Little update!

Been getting down the track about once a week trying to teach myself on how to get round the track as best as possible...few breakages fried a servo, bought a cheap one for 20 quid that lasted about an hour then threw caution to the wind and bought a savox one which at least 7 of the nitro guys where running with no issues and set me back around 70 quid!

Rebuilt the shocks and replaced with a higher weight silicon.

I also adjusted the servo saver as I was getting allot of understeer.

With the new servo, rebuilt shocks and adjustments to servo saver the handling has got much better :)

Other breakages are rear diff housing, suspension O ring, servo arm, and front wishbone bracket.

Still toying with the idea of buying the Mugen mbx7 Eco BUT at 500 quid I'm unsure if I should first weigh out on some more upgrades for the tr8e....
