Im after a new radio gear (Spektrum or other?)

Hi all

I've got a budget of about £180 to get some new radio gear for my X1 CRT.

I was very interested in the Spektrum DX3 (revised this month apparently) but then I rang my lhs and they removed all Spektrum kit as they'd had more than two expensive runaway's with the kit. He said it was cos they were Marders and the 2.4ghz kit didn't like lots of metal around it.

I'm open to other makes of radio gear so please let me know what you recommend or if you're pleased with your Spektrum.

Im very pleased with my spektrum. never had anyproblems.

Few question though. Are you a basher or a racer? And where do you drive?

90% race with five mates and 10% basher.

Currently we bomb them around a disused school in Dronfield called Gladys Buxton.

Wheel or sticks? Either way, I reccomend a quality radio such as a Sanwa M8 or KO Mars/Helios (for wheel), or Hitec Eclipse/Sanwa Super Ezxes (for sticks) plus a Spektrum unit.

Any of those radios feel better in the hand than Spektrum's own brand one, plus most will have more features than the Spektrum OE one. Should be something avilable on ebay etc secondhand.

Spektrums are great

I've got one in my rush

Sure I found it a pain in the A** to set up

But since i've had it no problems

Range is good all the time

Never got any servo glitchs and best of all!!

Interferance free

Plus spektrums got loads of special features like low bat alarm etc etc

Well worth the £160 i paid

The new DX3 looks good actually

Shame i cant get 1
