  1. When I built my kit, I had a 7kg Ace unit to start off with. But around a wet grass track, it just wasn't up to the job, so I got a DS1015 (14.5kg) for £58 and its perfect.
  2. That was just what I was looking for. Cheers
  3. Hi I want to change the colour of my CRT wheels and spoiler but don't know what to use or where to get it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi I finally bought a Spektrum DX2 Revised last week but I'm wondering what's the difference between the old and new version. Can anybody tell me please? Thanks
  5. 90% race with five mates and 10% basher. Currently we bomb them around a disused school in Dronfield called Gladys Buxton.
  6. Hi all I've got a budget of about £180 to get some new radio gear for my X1 CRT. I was very interested in the Spektrum DX3 (revised this month apparently) but then I rang my lhs and they removed all Spektrum kit as they'd had more than two expensive runaway's with the kit. He said it was cos they were Marders and the 2.4ghz kit didn't like lots of metal around it. I'm open to other makes of radio gear so please let me know what you recommend or if you're pleased with your Spektrum. Thanks in advance

Another thing to try if you're breaking it in at home is to aim a hairdryer at the engine for five minutes. It'll make it turn over a lot easier.

    revo

I've got a 2.5 revo and bought a new 3.3 revo to break in last friday. I had exactly the same problem, with it getting stuck at TDC and refusing to fire up.... I ended up buying a new battery pack (my old one was very tired) and I also bought a glow plug ignitor. Whilst I was at my lhs I mentioned this and I was told to take the glow plug out, hold a rag over the engine and just spin the engine over for five minutes using the EZ-Start whilst dropping fuel or WD40 down the carb. The next day after a full charge, I did this and when i put the glow plug back in and ignitor on, it fired up first time... Result! BTW, if your'e running it in now, follow the winter running in tips and add a collar or jacket to the head to get it up to temperature.
  9. It sounds a daft question but is it as easy as removing the manifold and exhaust and flushing them out with water? or should i scrape them out?
  10. err... don't suppose you have factory settings? i kind of lost mine!
  11. It sounds more buzzy than norma, not as "crisp" as it used too. I think the lsn and hsn are dialled in too.
  12. Thanks for advice on fuel, now for next question. I've been out of rc for about 18 months and now after a bit of running, the revo is ok-ish. But it sounds "snotty". Is it anything to do with the clutch? Checked it and its very tight. Thanks in advance
  13. Ok, I'm based in Dronfield (near Sheffield) and my lhs only sells Model Technics or some dodgy green stuff called "Monster Nitro Juice" 25%. The problem is that the nearest place to sell O'Donnells (that I've found) is in Leeds, which is a good 45 mile drive... Can anyone recommend a seller near me or rate the Juice? Thanks
  14. Ah, I'm using Model Technics... and yes it is very oily! Which O'Donnells should I get. 16%, 25% or 30%? BTW, Im only bashing it so no need for maximum power.
  15. Hi Can anyone recommend a good fuel for a 2.5R Revo? Thanks
