The main problem is ground clearance but you can gain extra with some by bigger off-road wheels which will require different gearing. Rally-x tyres really don't provide any off-road ability at all. Generally arms are shorter so give a thinner stance than proper offroad. Then you have shock geometry. The Hyper 10 runs quite small shocks if I recall, they don't give the same performance as the longer, fatter off road one's and all are the same each corner, AFAIR. There's a good reason why people want big-bore shocks for off-road.

 

I've done it and it does work but not for much more than flat dust bowls. Anything more and it bounces too much and isn't very stable. Oh and belt drive isn't great for off-road, things can easily get caught up. 2 speed is similarly not recommended because of the lack of traction.
