eb4 split fuel tank

I'll second that, fragile fuel tank, 1/2 a lap of the local track and it went, the guys there were saying problem doesn't look to be the tank itself but the mounting , it's basically a long screw some fuel pipe and a standard 5.5mm bolt on the s2.5 pro, I am upgrading the tank and mounting to a mugen mbx5 although has to come from USA so will take a few weeks :(

Also found the hyper 7 tanks fit with some "gentile persuasion" and cable ties ;) not an ideal fix thoigh as my exhaust was melting it!

The mugen mbx5 & X-ray xb8 tanks will fit apparently.

The xb8 is hard to come by and the mbx5 is getting rarer In the uk.

Tbh if you can make a tank fit, then make it :)

Another point to think about is the mounting.

The 2.5 mounting is really poor and you might fid that with mounts from the s3 which are much better, your normal s2 tank would last longer.

I have an S3 and I've been through about three tanks in a year. Until I were advised about using a little piece of fuel tube either side of the fixing holes.

Interesting, I might try using the original mounting on my s2.5 using some fuel line top & bottom, see if it lasts :)
