  1. Just one thing, you really don't need a fuel filter/cooler on the fuel tank. The Agama, both A215 and A8 come with a clunk built into the fuel up-take inside the tank. As for fuel coolers, unnesesary bling if you ask me that just adds extra joints for air leaks. Also since I've had an Agama a while, you may want to invest in the metal couplers instead of the stock white plastic ones on the CVD joints. Metal rear hubs and metal front brace are quite admirable, and if you're using an RX lipo and micro RX then possibly invest in the lightened and shortened carbon radio-tray. Lots of money, but hey you didn't join the hobby to save cash... Also check out PSM for carbon shock towers, I'd suggest putting some sort of adhesive glue down the edges of the towers, just gives it some extra strength. http://www.psm-rc.com/products/agama-a8-evo/ Otherwise enjoy, she's a nice bit of kit!
  2. Looks like an OS re-badge to me... Granted they gave it a nice lick of paint!
  3. Well it's a 1 week shipping plan with 3-4 days quoted so I suppose based on what you've said then it'll likely go by road freight in which case, theorhetically it should be ok then. I'll post back with more details for archiving reasons when I get them...
  4. It's going to Rosenheim. I booked it with UPS and it's successfully in transit. The box contains 1 small rx lipo disconnected but wedged inside the plastic shell so it'll neither rattle around or get severely bumped. And everything is individually bubble wrapped with inflated bags cushioning the top. I didn't remove the batteries because my mate couldn't be bothered to cut all the wrapping so it'll have to do, fingers crossed it goes through OK... How likely is it go by air since that'll be a problem maybe.
  5. So I recently moved to Germany and my friend in London has been holding onto my buggy since I've been away. Yesterday we managed to get everything packed up into a double-wall corrugated box and bubblewrapped everything inside. However with this being a nitro buggy what are the rules on sending these things? I checked the prohibited item list and well it doesn't really fit into any specific category. UPS is scheduled to collect the box which is a 53x53x53cm and weighs in at 16kg sometime today however I'm a little worried now... There are batteries inside however they have been disconnected and securely fastened down within their relative cases. Is it likely my box will be rejected at border control or something?

    RC App

I'm thinking of making this worldwide though, it won't be specifically for the UK. For example I want to implement a 3D interactive track map for each location since I am able to use 3DSMax. There should be a rating system and other things involved... Bashing may be possible as a separate element. It'll certainly take some months to plan and start developing.

    RC App

So I'm thinking of making an app but I'm only really willing to invest time if there's enough demand for me to make it. The idea is to create an app that allows users to see locations of tracks worldwide, with each track is an information and contact sub-system as well as a discussion section for those of you wanting to converse with other local racers. All tracks will have a layout preview graphically represented. Other things such as guides, tuning information and replacement part searches from different sources would also be available. Would something like this appeal to people and how much would you guys be willing to pay for something like this? I hope I'm allowed to post this here, but I suppose if it'd be useful for you guys as-well as myself then I could look into making something of the sorts.
  8. Best? MP9 Popular in UK Mugen MBX7/6 Manageable Agama A8 Evo FR Handling Sworkz BK1 Evo Popular in UK HB D812 All-rounder XRay XB9/8 (Any model) Durability Durango DNX408 Alien design Just to name a few off the top of my head and in no specific order. However these are all race rollers and I wouldn't suggest bashing them. They're designed to be light and tunable whereas bash buggies are designed to be hard wearing and cheap to repair. As they're bespoke kits parts are more expensive from suppliers, some are more expensive while others are cheaper. I don't think there's a 'best' buggy as they all drive differently, once you start treading into a certain price bracket it's less about quality but more about handling and accessibility. I'd suggest getting down to a local track and talking to the drivers, watch the cars and weigh out your driving style.
  9. Can't go wrong with a Jammin pipe, JP-3 or 4.
  10. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Those internals look like they've had some time on them... Another technique is to fill the holes and re-drill them, however you can't guarantee that it'll be a secure fit one you start bashing. I would re-drill and then use some red thread lock, I don't think you'll be servicing that engine for what it's worth once it dies...
  11. Yes, the wheel should spin up before impacting the flywheel, it's this sudden burst of speed that gets the engine turning past the compression. Don't worry, you won't break the starterbox, the wheels are designed to wear down and you will get what looks like melted rubber, it's just wear. They're replaceable too... As stated, hold the chassis down for a few seconds, don't tap the fly-wheel down repeatedly as there's a chance the engine will fire backwards (Won't harm the engine but not useful either).
  12. Generally most shocks are interchangeable for the mere fact that most, if not all shocks are mounted in very similar ways. Even if the mounts are wrong you can swap them out for different ball joints or standoffs. I would perhaps suggest going with the same bore shocks though, just to eliminate any possibility of the shock body being too wide?? I'm not sure what serious basher/racer wouldn't swap plastic caps out, they're what take the brunt of the crash when you nose dive into the ground therefore I'd highly suggest buying ally shock caps. Hope this helps
  13. Ought a be out this weekend, what track you guys hitting this time round?
  14. Have a look at the Savage Octane XL
  15. 2pm, pfft keep bashing I say. As long as you're being responsible and not going full chat down the pathway then who's to complain. I was fortunate enough to deal with a friendly neighbour, was playing on the field and he came out after 20 minutes and told me if I could move because he was sleeping. I showed him the car and he got interested, moved somewhere else - everyone was a happy chappy. Just depends who you have to deal with.
  16. Phoning the police, bullocks if you ask me, they won't do anything anyway. Best thing to do is call 101 or something and say you'd like to file an incident. That way if it happens again they'll have it on record, gives you more weight than words. If it happens again, record the guy and play it back to whomever. For now at least, unless you're a scrawny Lil fella, just take it on the chin... If he's drunk as you said then I wouldn't have given a **** anyway.
  17. Daniel, that D812 shell is one of the best looking designs. Is that the 4BTT?
  18. Alright guys, so where are we going tomorrow - not much feedback on this, is everyone sun struck or something..? Dave, Mike... Fairlop tomorrow since Herts doesn't look like it'll be happening... cmon guys
  19. Do you think the track will dry out by tomorrow now, I'll be damned if I have to clean by buggy from tip to toe again...
  20. So what's the story? If we're not going to Herts then I'll be at Fairlop nice and early tomorrow, can't wait any longer. Anyone else in?
  21. Thing is, you get these YouTube names (you'll know who I mean) who create reviews for these absolutely appalling models, but they're payed to say it's good. So you get the unsuspecting noon come along and buy the junk because they don't know any better. Himoto and Acme products are rubbish, they're build like toys, not hobby kit and I wouldn't be surprised whether the engine liner is raw steel and unpolished - I wouldn't be surprised... With hobby stuff, you buy cheap you pay twice, the same with servos.
  22. Longer sway bars, try 2.5mm and also tweak the camber. Anything from -1 to -3 will vive you some nice cornering grip but less straight line speed.
  23. If not then we'll just do Fairlop and leave Herts to another-day. Also, if someone has a 16t clutch-bell they'd like to swap for a 14t with hardly and wear, then let me know at the track - I didn't realise Agama recommends 16t+ on their buggies... EDIT: Finally, after much procrastination and fumbling around, I've fully fixed up my buggy and added some new parts too! New controller, center diff case, hinge-pins, fuel filter... Awww yeah! Also just went to the Nemo Racing website and downloaded the Agama A8 setup sheet that Darren Bloomfield used for the Herts track. So spent last night breaking down the car and setting it up exactly to how he used it in the warmup at Herts. http://docs.nemoracing.com/Site_2/Blank_files/Bloomfield%20Westmill%20National%20Warm%20Up.pdf Here's a quick pic of her in the current form, can't wait to get her dirty! One thing I noticed in the setup is the crazy camber, look at the far right wheel at the front... I assume it's for extra cornering speed as the wheel levels out at half-throw. But yeah, can't wait!
  24. Ooh shucks, thought you guys went to Fairlop today - gutted. Still never been to Herts and my car is pretty much ready to drive, any chance you guys would want to do Herts again next week..?
  25. This is the track: They race the TT-01 and 1/5th scale petrol cars there...
