roof guard tight fit on spark plug cap normal ?

Just removed the steel cage on my km baja to replace it with original black plastic one to make it lighter but when fitted the original roof guard is a tight fit sittin on top of spark plug cap so in a roll its gonna do damage ! Have refitted the steel cage back for now as its seems so much stronger then the flimsy plastic one and seems to ad so much strengh to the chassis and car just wondered why they used the nylon one in first place ?

I've only broken 2 stock HPI roll cages in 2 years, most people get a 5t plug gaurd so it offers more protection.

Its not right  should have clearance better to go with a 5T plug guard

Clearance was tight on mine with stock roll cage and guard so got the rpm plug guard,much better.
