bosq
The new problem appeared... this wheels are much more demending for the servo - 2.1kg servo is too weak - already broken 2 pcs (I use alu servo saver now - it keeps stronger forces before unclutching - this might also be a reason). Waiting for 3.5kg servo. ---------- my oh my - I've found beatiful servo: I have 6V BEC so it works great. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=47620 Perfect fit and amazingly good maneuvrability of the car - at last. bugsaint
Shame. Will continue looking at a solution that'll allow fitting dish type wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
segordon
I know this is old but since the photos are not showing, can someone please tell me what the length is if the dog bones for the Maveric? I'm in the US and I bought my Maverick from Newegg before Christmas and they no longer carry them. But I want to put aluminum dogbones in it but the ones I have bind and pop out during turns. Any help?
bosq
Hi, good news Buy anything from himoto 1/18 series (barren, mastadon..) or iron track 1/18 series Hobbyking started sales last days as I've seen too: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/option-alu-dogbones-basher-pitbull-1-18-4wd-desert-buggy-2pcs.html?wrh_pdp=3

However mine (both plastic and alu) have 53mm in total. 51mm may be too short and destroy cups preearly. Someone wrote about it some time ago. I would not go for 51 i quess. Himoto's one are for sure better. Edited July 9, 2017 by bosq
segordon
Anyone know of an aluminum motor mount and center diff shaft that will fit? Also I'm going to put a new motor in it and I was wondering if a 380 would fit or just go with a 35T 370? I'm just looking for more speed without sacrificing torque. I bought my boy a wltoys a959 and his is quicker because it has a 390 motor.
bosq
If u upgrade - dont bother brushed moter - too much troubles (and no place for bigger one - and if u want speed, you would need also exhange gear ratio - bigger motors have usually lower rpm - so you would go slower at the end) Go brushless - we had full thread of all info on this matter: Regarding center shaft and motor mount - the same - look no further than himoto / pitbull basher parts. You can choose from several places. I've used asiatees ( https://www.asiatees.com/model?Himoto-Mastadon-Upgrades-Parts-Hop-Ups&brand=Himoto&model=Mastadon&c=z2 ), hobbyking ( https://hobbyking.com/en_us/cars/spare-parts/basher-pitbull-1-18-4wd-desert-buggy.html ) and himoto branch called exportprobiz ( http://www.exportpro.biz/accessories/spare_part/part_list.php?select=truck_e032 ) as parts source + ebay of course for some cspecial hopups.
