Yes, I have been looking at the slayer trays for the newer look.

Coming next, new trays, air filter, 17mm hex kit and throttle linkage .

The green hub started life as a blue one. I threw it in just to see what would happen.

The RIT dye was easy to use. I used the whole bottle and simmered for 30 minutes.

Sat in the garden and fitted my RPM arms. The rears look right, I think I fitted the fronts correctly fitted.

Next job, fit the new boots to the drive shafts.

Sat in the garden again today and fitted the driveshaft boots on all 4 shafts. Then fitted up the shafts to the Revo.

Push rods cleaned and connected, rear toe arms cleaned and fitted.

Trial fitted the Axial wheels just to see how it looks.

Starting to get impatient now. Need to get it running!

Next job to fit out the front steering links,

It will need set up, front and rear once i get it all connected.

I have got 4 pieces of ply cut and drilled to be fitted to the hubs, so i can at least get it adjusted and pointing the right direction.

I think i will need to replace the bearings in the RPM hubs soon, as they are not as free rolling as i hoped after cleaning and oiling.

Where is the best place to buy some more?

  • 2 weeks later...

Stripped the engine to check the orientation of the piston and rod, built it up, and sealed it up with silicone gasket compound.

New head gasket and new glow plug fitted.

Just waiting on the one way bearing and a pull start to arrive. Hopefully by the weekend. And i will try and get the engine fired up.....

Cant wait. :sweatdrop:

You can get my 1000th post

Excellent news that you're just about set to fire it up, good luck.

Remember the Much More GP is on at Stonehaven this weekend

The Motor Saver filter is a great bit of kit, it makes a nice induction raw as well  :xd:

Congratulations on the 1000th post, that's a lot of waffling....

Much more GP: I will have to be good to get away from the decorating.

Just about completed the build;

New Motor Saver Air Filter fitted, it is quite a big piece of kit...
