I have a big clear out listed on ebay. 14 auctions. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/jariworsley/m.html?item=182819232193&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 At the moment stuff I am never going to use... Shocks, turniguy 5th scale motor, some pot luck Nitro engines that I have not had a chance to test properly, - a Picco .28, Bullitt 216 and an RB CS trwo Xray lots - xb9 in pieces and multiple 808 parts from 2 buggies, including brushless mount Hobao spider diff. Also some random race buggy roller that I have no idea what it is. Have a look and if you want to make any firm offers do so.
  2. Bump and Maxx Mulcher pair sold. I have some others to list this weekend.
  3. I am starting a selling off of things I am not using and will not have the time to get to. Starting with some 40 series tyres sets. All are new and sealed. 4. Starting a long overdue garage clear out. Two stick transmitters on eBay. Both 40 Mhz. both starting at 99p and ending this weekend. Ko Propo Esprit 2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182566104433 Sanwa Gemini 2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182564652471 might consider a deal before then otherwise I'll let the auction run.
  5. just replied. apologies! I don't get on here that much if at all any more.
  6. First post for ages. Yes I have one. Pm me and let me k ow what you think a new one is worth. I can get pictures tomorrow and check it over.
  7. comment on batteries on other devices... tablet manufacturers will spend a lot of time and effort making sure the batteries and charging in them are sound and safe. Also look at the size of them. The weight of lipo in an phone or tablet is tiny versus the amount in some 4S 5000mah brick. like 10 , 20 or 30 x less in the phone. That is a lot less chemical energy. me? batteries at storage charge in the garage.
  8. Sold and sent out today. Mods please close.
  9. the whole lot for £120 that is posted including fees, postage, insurance. not sure what courier I will use yet though.
  10. I need to clear space in the garage, and space off the ever growing "project" list. No time to complete the ones on there and I keep adding. This is an incomplete, new thunder tiger MTA 28. I bought this off Modelzone when they went into administration. It had some parts removed from it by the store so is incomplete. It is however unused... never had a drop of fuel. I bought it hoping to convert it to brushless... and then ended up buying and converting an S50 instead. It is ready to go with chassis, wheels/tyres, engine, all servos, and radio tx/rx with the exception of the following missing parts: Missing parts are: - the dual start plate for the engine. - one rear tie rod. - slipper attachment for spur gear. This would be a great spares truck for someone running one. If you want to get this up and running you will need to spend some money or combine with older / spares truck. i am happy to split into 2 or 3 lots, but no more than that. no time! e.g. some form of engine/tank/pipe split, chassis, or separate radio. Engine would be great for parts if you already have one. New dual start is £40ish piston and liner should fit the other TT buggy .28 engines. Options (all prices include signed for insured delivery and all paypal fees.i.e. price you see is what you pay) 1. the whole lot for £120 2. rolling chassis - wheels/tyres, chassis , radio and servo, but no engine / pipe / tank. - £90 3. engine/pipe/tank £35 Picture to come. boxed! laid out missing spur / slipper bits: missing dual start on motor. See how clean and shiny it is though... motor still has tag... transmitter missing rear tie rod?
  11. Sold. just about to post. please close.
  12. Start of a clear out. Not used any RC for at least 6 months.. need to clear out things I won't use and trim back to a core. So the fancy charger stays! Prices include all postage and paypal fees. First: Brushless kit. kyosho 7.5. Say £20 posted? mount, tray, plate thing. I have pinion too. see also http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i138/jariworsley/Mobile Uploads/IMG_20151014_222658295_HDR_zpsur9quinz.jpg Second Turnigy 1900kv motor. New. 13. amen to that... (as the saying goes) disaster recovery is only as good as your last test. and if you have never tested it... then you have no backup. had personal experience of this many years ago. scenario went something like this: "set up backups for email" "ok, backups running every day. daily diffs, with weekly full backup" "backups all running?" "yep" time passes.... "sh!t we have lost the email server... never mind we restore from backup" time and much swearing happens... "hmmm, none of the backups ever actually worked." if not tested it doesn't work. --- and for interest... the bigger players will now deliberately break their infrastructure every day to check that their plans *really* work... look up Chaos Monkey for a tool that does it.
  14. Mod 1 is the same pitch as the one eighth nitro buggy use for their clutch bells. Same as for one eighth electric. They are normally found with 5mm shaft diameter pinions to suit the larger eighth scale motors. One of the issues with hyper TT is finding pinions to fit. Normal tenth scale motors are 3.25mm shaft diameter. There are very limited options for 3.25 mm shaft and mod 1. You either need a bore reducer to suit the motor, or buy a motor with 5mm shaft.
  15. Now there is a.thread resurrection! Yes this is still available. I will clear my inbox.
  16. Do not use the 8mm inner diameter hexes! You will break something. Either hex, axle wheel or all three... And a broken cvd is going to cost a lot more than sourcing hexes
  17. Yes still running. Not been out with anything for at least a month though. Family holidays have got in the way.
  18. harsh but... I am not going to do an idiots guide as there is no such thing. if you are using the truck at weekends a little only then I wouldn't convert. enjoy gobs of nitro torque and noise. converting to electric is neither easy nor cheap for the first conversion. second and third conversions are cheaper as you already have the charger/batteries etc. if you are determined to convert there are two routes 1. - keep centre gearbox and use something like RC-monster mount . or 2. go centre diff route and junk the gearbox these two approaches need different kv motor to get the gearing right so you need to do your research first. not going to answer the question about soldering. if you can't solder don't even bother a then you need to reconsider an electric conversion. learn to solder, learn about electrics or don't bother. you are going down a hard path to convert a 1/8th monster truck from a newbie position. correct me if I am wrong in any assumptions.
  19. Arghhhh. One pair no good. Must be why they still have them.
  20. 4 inch an odd size isnt it? End of line rc have the proline revolver vtr tyres. They are four inch
  21. The Poseidon 1527 looks good for a monster. Hugely long and 1500kv. But still 40mm diameter
  22. Yes you can keep gearbox. I have one. Using the rcmonster mount. It needs the lower kV motor. I have a 2000kv leopard on there and it is too high kV really. You can't get smaller than a 17 tooth ponipn with that mount... So choose motor accordingly. I want to out a 1600 or 1300 kV motor in there to run 4 to 6 cell. I bought a gearbox forward only kit to lock it on second... It is possible to do it yourself do a search for associated MGT conversion as they are same vehicle for US market. O believe some people also keep the mechanical brakes to put less stress on motor esx and give longer runtime. Threadlock and shim everything well. I have had troubles with losing pins from odd places. I now use cable ties and tape on the centre cvd robstop pins falling out if threadlock fails. The jump well. Run withoutba shell and you will kill your shock towers... Might be interested in letting my rc monster mount go if you are interested? I fancy trying centre diff. PM me. I can get them from the US easily too.. Benefit of having colleagues in Walnut Creek.
