New to forum just wanted to say hello...

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I bought a Maverick evo mt (brushed) a week ago - just wanted something out of the box, electric, and easy to use/ play with and not too expensive. Pretty pleased so far just a shame it's been a bit wet.

It was meant as a family gift for myself, daughter and wife but as yet thay've shown little interest ;)

No great plans to do anything to it apart from upgrade the battery under features in the manual it says" 6.0 - 8.4 volts power input" "13 turn brushed motor" and the motor is "mm-22 540"

I'd be interested in knowing which nimh battery is best in the car and whether it will take a 8.4 volt nimh stick or whether this will be too much for it.

Also might want to get a faster charger but not that important if I have a couple of batteries.

Also what does 13 turn mean?

Cheers

D

Hello :) . Cheapbatteries.com ( I think thats right) Do some nice nimhs. I'd go lipo though. Hobbyking do nice cheap ones, A couple of snap bags full of sand'll stop a fire ( Lipo's can go off like marine flares if wrongly charged) . They also do cheap charger balancers too :)
