Shortly after Team Durango announced the DEX210 Race Ready RTR the UK company now also introduced the DESC210 RTR short course truck. Based on the DESC210R SC truck the race ready variant comes factory-build with the unique 2WD hybrid technology gear box that allows for mid and rear motor layout, 3 gear or 4 gear setup and the use of a gear (included) or ball differential (optional). Also included with the truck come TD's famous big bore shock absorbers with threaded aluminium shock bodies, captured CVD driveshafts, a dual pad slipper clutch, injection-moulded chassis, and race-proven suspension geometry. The truck comes RTR with 13.5T Speed Passion brushless motor, speed controller, 2.4GHz radio system, pre-mounted tyres and wheels and your choice of a red or blue design SC body shell. The DESC210 RTR will become available by end of August.

Its pretty much the same as the kit version built in rear motor 3 gear config. OK, so for UK tracks mid motor 4 gear is better, but thats not the point. Likewise the 13.5t motor included isn't powerful enough to take on the 8.5-10.5t's common in SC racing here, and the speed controller can't handle much more.

BUT

In the US they have a 13.5t 'Novice' class. They run rear motors on dirt. For that, this truck really is ready to win - its as competitive as the kit with the required motor etc.

Here in the UK though the kit is more suitable.
