my first airbrush shell attempt (nothing flash though)

Hi all i finally got all the bits and bobs to have a go at doing my shell , its got a blue metal flake clearcoat to start with,then loads of inspire orange candy ,then quite a few layers of fastkolor fastkrome (satin) silver to give it a nice effect , next time i think i will leave the metalflake out tbh, i have also got the wheels to spray silver then liquid mask most of that apart from some choice parts ,spray it black,peel off the mask and them candy orange over the silver bits may just leave the wing (still waiting for that) and anyway here are the pics , tell me what you think

i realise its not the best job ,like trhe front grill messed up with the liquid mask and there is the odd bit here and there ,also the front and rear lights have been masked too so they are now clear , ive also put some stickers on now too , i will get some pics later

thanks guys it looks cpmpletley different and pops alot more in person , its turned out alot better then i thought (the colour)

cheers guys , its only the phone camera bud , the proper cam is fubard lol , cheers banners , tbh its prob allready been sprayed mate as i did it under the canopy outside and the wind was blowing towerds the 1:1 lmao haha

haha cheers mate ,i have done a fiar bit of airbrushing in the past on 1:1 cars but with a mini spraygun , this is the 1st time with a proper airbrush and the inside of a shell , i was going to do grafix too but though better of it lmao haha , that orange is inspire orange candy ,backed with faskolor fastkrome satin lexan paint that is really caorse metallic , ive done shells with rattle cans before but i think you can get a better looking finish and you can controll the paint flow better with an airbrush too so less likely to get runs in it

that on the bonnet ? that is part of the shell ,i hand painted that too (as you can tell lmao ) the body is a 1/18 trinity maxzilla for the losi mini t but fits fine on my rc18t

right i started the wheels today got them painted silver base , then liquid masked off a design

then i gave them a few coates of mettalic black (i mixed myself ) ,took the mask off and oh dear the lines where all over the place lol so just sprayed them black , i also sprayed one of them with the orange candy over the silver that showed from masking and it just went brown lol not got any pics of them though

just a pitty its not sunny to show them off a bit , they look bit dull tbh on the pics , i need some orange M3 nuts now if anyone knows where i can get some from , flanged if poss , next thing to do is the led kit for it might do that tonight
