bodgemonkey
Thought i might aswell start a thread for this. Learnt to drive in it and had lots of fun with it. According to the VIN and the RSOC It's a rare C plate car, which means it was either a media or demo car before being shipped to Cyprus in '96. Has the custom pack fitted (Leccy mirrors have been removed), so bucket recaros, electric windows etc. Only real mod so far has been the -39 actuator and chip. Radio is a pretty basic Sony unit with 3x 200W Pioneer speakers in the rear (can't remember the models) Started restoring it this year a bit. At the start was the long process of grinding out metal, grafting in new sections and then smoothing it all! Bootlid, bonnet and some other bits were all completely rotted so i sourced new bits. Front wings were fitted new in 2009. Got a few parts to fit onto her - Stage 1 T3 turbo - Ahmed Bayjoo chip - Lockwood dials - Bailey Motorsport PRV - Carello chrome top headlights - RS 7 spokes - New interior door pulls - New interior door cards - New recaros - TIM boost gauge and boost controller - Samco boost hoses - Magnex 2 1/2" turbo back exhaust with 4" pipe - Stainless Steel turbo elbow with external wastegate takeoff - Tial style 38mm External wastegate with screamer pipe and a few other bits and bobs I've probably forgotten Fair to say the old bonnet had been filled up more times than Jordan! Interior out, no rust mercifully! Edited October 28, 2013 by bodgemonkey
bodgemonkey
In the garage, first coat of Rosso Red down Who needs aircon in 40 degrees heat when you can drive your car like this? Getting there 4 coats of 2pk paint, bit of cmpounding later, not even polished or lacquered! New tinted glass and spoiler in Spotlight brackets were sourced, spots fitted on

Iv had many MK4 Turbos, 3i's loved them all Gav Don't have any engine pics mate but it's nothing special ATM anyway. Just appears to be a big standard ERST engine bay. Might get the rocker cover powder coated red though. Car needs the boost hoses BADLY. The all pretty much collapsed ( running 15psi on stock hoses? Lovely ) As for the wheels, previous owner fitted them on, and it's hard finding RS turbo spares when there are only 2 registered on the motor database
