First you need to have a 6V hump pack. Readily available. You may need a stick pack ... check the space your battery pack is going to fit into and get one to suit.

Both have the same cells, they are just arranged differently to fit into the different sorts of space teh manufacturers leave you!

Next, you need a suitable charger. You can get fast chargers and trickle chargers.

Trickle chargers are cheap, but take a fair amount of time. Usually you will have to leave them overnight to get hte job done This is a trickle charger...

80Mah output. This means that a 1600Mah battery charging at 80Mah will take 20hours if the battery was fully discharged. Usually it won't be ... but ....

The other option is to go for a faster charger. Normally, as a guide, the battery can be charged up to what is called '1C' ... or in the case of a 1600Mah battery... that's 1.6A. Divide the Mah rating by 1000 to get the AmpHour rating...and that's the maximum for long life and healthy batteries...unles you buy fancy modern LiPo's etc. that can take massive charging current! Not relevant here though....

something like this ... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fusion-tx-rx-delta-peak-ac-charger/rc-car-products/32525

would do it in 2 hours.

Or this in about an hour.... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fusion-nx80p-enigma-pro-ac-dc-charger/rc-car-products/31039

yep, stick will fit under the proper cover what came with ur hyp.....should say hyper7.5 on it...goes nx to the reciver box....got allen bolt at each end...i`d go with the nx85 as it will charge a lot quiker and loads of different types if u ever need to with all the connectors it comes with...but that charger will do the job.. Just a quick mention of strapping humpacks in properly. Most common cause of runaways is batteries objecting to the route the car's taking and heading off in a different direction.

What evssv said makes sense but you won't drain a decent MAH rated humpack in a day. If you do buy another as a spare though, cable tie it into the car otherwise you'll be getting out of breath chasing a car you have no control over ;)

Yeah good point mate

I agree, having a powerles runaway is nasty.... Throttle return springs usualy are pointless, as they DONT work, esp if your servo locks when its off, many do!

If you think it can escape anyway - an extra cable tie or even velcro strap will help :)

im new to this and just bought a Hyper 7 28, i upgraded to a stick pack straight away as AA batteries only lasted 30 mins at best, its really simple to change over, i have pics of before and after in my profle gallery (note the tie wraps holding it in place)
