before i get mine and take it to a bash and break it(hopefully i wont)

as i ahve heard they are pretty strong

but what spares should i carry? basicaly what have you guys broken?

anmd what upgrades are worth geting?

i like the look of the new era 3 point roll bars

ok, mine started out bone stock

Ran great like that :D

One day i decided to do some jumps, as you do (note, truck is flying low in pics as i was taking em with an SLR camera looking through the view finder, so taking it easy :ph34r:)

During the clean up after that run in noticed a nice break in the front skid

And, as i foresee this being a weak spot i bought some nice alu' replacements, and while i was there did the servo skids too :lol:

So, to bring this to a conclusion, it's still a stock revo. But with a couple of alu parts B) still runs great btw :good:

here is my revo just finsished building it i will list the hopups later but as you can see there is alot of hopups :D

nice beige, does it come with plastic servo skids to start with or just nothing there?

they do look very easy to smash if theres nothing there

It comes with plastic ones, and tbh their just fine, mine never got a scratch. Only replace em with the alu' ones because i could B)

the roll cage looks like it gives better over all protection but probably not as strong as the bar and harder to work on the car

i wnat something taht will strenthen up the whole truck but mainly protect the engine from hits

I've landed inverted and not broken the stock plastic one (much to my surprise), so go buy what you like the look of. Personally i'd go for the "bar" one, less wight :D

As for the shock, i've got 45w oil, stock pistons, and the LT springs that come with it, but I'm using the stock rockers. Not the absolute best setup, but i already had the oil, and the springs come with the truck, so it'll do me :good:

You're forgetting about the additional weight a complete rollcage will bring.

A simple solution is to simply wrap a cloth and 2" black tape around the carry handle, to make the top thicker. And will pretty much make sure that the heat sink don't get banged on a roll over.

It will add alot of protection to the Revo without throwing any noticable weight on

im still tempted by the roll bar though

You bloody snob, with the shell on who will ever notice :smilies_eusasmiles2:

If you do a tidy job it'll look fine and go along way to protecting your Revo without the weight problem

And the small Roll cage, like on the LST is connected to the top of a shock, if you fall badly and the roll bar protects your Revo. you'll lose the shock anyway.

i have to admit that yours does look ALOT better than the one i saw the tape was all scuffed, bright blue and put on badly

anyway aslong as the revo im interested in runs fine when the guy tests it i think i have a deal :D
