  1. Sounds like you didn't let the engine properly cool down before you tried to remove the bolts, at least an hour cos everything is super expanded. If you're sure the block is fine then personally I'd cut the head off low down so I could get to the bolts properly, after trying to get them out again after leaving the engine outside in a shed or something but not in the house ... too warm.
  2. (This is not a sales pitch, advice is required) Right, hoped I could combine Nitro and my new found love for 600cc Supersports bikes but it's proving beyond imposable now. When the weather is perfect for nitro it's equally purrfect for riding a motorbike, and one is rather more heart grabbing than the other, so I'm retiring from nitro, I'm very sorry to say. So I've got a Hyper 7 TQ21 and a CRT Pro with a Mach .26 and a Spekky linked to both, so options are ...... Sell the job lot? Sell the Hyper separate with standard radio gear, and the CRT RTR with full spektrum? Sell both the Hyper and CRT Pro with engines and servos but the Spektrum with 2 receivers separately? Or even chop out the engines, tuned pipes etc but that might be getting to be a right mess, and time wasting What will profit me the most, considering the whole lot owes me about £850+ with everything up and running?? Appreciate the thoughts, and wish I could stay with nitro, but in truth, both nitros were cleaned after the last Hudds bash last year, engines filled with after run oil and have never moved from under the bed since then. Cos I got the bike in January before the nitro weather arrived *sigh* Grrr!!
  3. You're nothing more than a jealous tart ...... after all it reminds the old folks they are still alive as they lie there in the middle of the zebra crossing waiting for the paramedic to shout "CLEAR!!!" then ZAPPPP
  4. --> QUOTE(Matt B @ Mar 6 2007, 04:30 PM) ←Yeah its that bit, and i was told that it was very rutty and not good for buggies. Would be even worse soon as i want a Jato or some kind of stadium truck, so, eek. Gonna cost ya dearly about the only nitros that will survive any distance are savvys, even that's not certain
  5. Can I take it you mean the waste ground directly between the Tescos and the M60, a big square flat bit? I've had a few goes down there with my old Revo and it's a very destruction place for RC, going a fair speed and catch that hidden brick and no more front struts I personally wouldn't risk my much loved and much lower nitros there, Revo is cheap to fix but a pain to take the front end off again Oops repeated ...
  6. Yea excellent work there Waz If you get the chance you might consider popping over to the NNRC just outside Preston, excellent track using a fairly small track area but used very well, there's a kind of figure of 8 cross over with a monster jump into a double left hander that passes under the jump it's self, so it's not just flat out, a certain skill and judgment required. I personally found the surface awful for buggies but for truggies it was a 100% cracker. Just a thought if you've no design set out atm
  7. So it's pretty much useless?? Hmmmm But it does look excellent from the air, how far from Hudds centre??
  8. Well it's a funny thing but David's sold his Rex to raise money for a CRT RTR but after me getting my CBR600 he's quit Nitro forever and is 'trying' to get a job to pay for lessons and a m/bike of his own. Still got both my CRT Pro and my Hyper but thinking about selling the Hyper and just focusing on the Truggy racing at NNRC but there's a major snag with that cunning plan. If the weather is perfect for Nitro it's also perfect for getting on the CBR and going rather fast .... for real So it's all a little vague atm how this will work out .... nitro sure is alot cheaper though When is the next get together?? Grrr?
  9. Hi all, just a quick note to advise my return to the top forum, been away to dry out so got a little too involved with Nitro forums in general, more than was 'Fun' So I'm dusting off the CRT and Hyper for a fine season, and will be keeping an eye on all of ya Be cool, Grrrrr!!!!
  10. Thunder Tiger pro starter is excellent as are these batteries from Modelsport. That's my setup anyway for £93 all in
  11. I'm a little concerned about rain stopping play but other than that should be a cracker. And retro fitting a spring on a buggy engine might be a complete sh## to fit but a elastic band is a pretty simple affair. Saw some guys at NNRC with them, it's a top idea Traxxas idea on the Revo TRS relies on a special fitting around the throttle arrangment which isn't feasible as far as I can tell
  12. The LSN is even more tricksey to tune than the HSN, 1/16th increments when starting from rich and it'll go like a charm, I just found the Traxxas version of tuning the LSN was too poor to be usefull personally.
