calum101
That seems quite good, but I'm unsure of the quality of Aldi's stuff :/ I need one that'll last a while. But there's an aldi not far from me, I might go for a look
henzy190
It depends what you define as "going away with the Army." If you want something that will withstand everything you throw at it I'd get a GoPro Hero Cam. I regularly strap one to the roof of my R/C and we've even had it in use round the Nurburgring. New they are around £200, but E-Bay is your friend!! They can take still images as well as videos. But If you want something purely to take pictures with though in a less challenging environment, at worst case a mobile phone camera would work (as a backup anyways) or you could get something else. It would probably have to be second hand, although there are some good deals that you can get for under £80. Again, E-Bay is your friend Good links: A hero cam, slightly over budget: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item2311cb9081 A low range camera: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item27bc01a9e6 A higher range camera (with 1 year warranty): http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item4cf7f9baca E-Bay search: http://shop.ebay.co....d=p3286.c0.m282 Edited June 27, 2011 by henzy190

Tamiyacowboy
Army = camera + you = may get broken. most cameras are not built for ruggedness uless stated but there are some cameras made to take a very heavy beating up ok so you may call me everything under the sun, say i am a crazy old man but, look at the kiddies cameras, these things are beaten up bad by young fingers, if a 4yr old can only just break them i am sure you and the army will have a fairly hard time doing the same you did say CHEAP and did mention the army and getting trashed, so a kiddies cam would be idea ?
