  1. It should be in the box that switch is taped to, you’ll need a hex head to open it
  2. If it’s the stock Rx I think it says ch3/bind.
  3. In the box there’s a bind plug with a little dibber on it - you have to plug it into the receiver and press the weeny button - there are instructions online if you’ve lost your manual.
  4. I’ve searched and can’t find anything, any idea who it was?
  5. To be fair I can’t now find the Sherpa as a kit, only RTR, but I’m sure you used to be able to get it.
  6. I already have a Sendero HD which is a really great truck, I totally rate Element - however it doesn’t have the 2 speed or remote locking diffs that I crave… Krystal is built on an HPI Venture chassis kit, which I really can’t fault - but is a similar driving experience to the Sendero, being single speed and permanently locked diffs. Think I’m just looking for a technically decent build with some new features I’ve not had before, and a different driving experience when it’s finished.
  7. Full fat TRX4 is available as a kit https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/traxxas-trx-4-premium-unassembled-chassis-kit-425424
  8. No it was completely stock. I really do want a kit though not a RTR, and one with “features”.
  9. I really fancy a new kit to build, something meaty and interesting and having had my first ever play with my mates TRX4 today am rather taken with the idea of locking diffs, 2 speed, maybe dig? All things I’ve never had in a truck before. Not been paying much attention for the last couple of years, so what’s available and what is worth it? Most of all, what’s a quality kit to build and a great car to drive?
  10. Really really well, she’s come a long way. Both my mates had a good long play too and we’re both really surprised about how good she is considering her Tonka roots. A great success. Really surprisingly capable considering her small wheels, long overhangs, low clearances and ridiculous weight 😂
  11. Absolutely brilliant day, only took the one picture as too busy driving otherwise.
  12. Drove it, rolled it, crashed it, soaked it, got it stuck, winched it out, lent it out and had a blast. First proper RC day out I’ve had in a couple of years, took Krystal out to play in the SST quarry and had an absolutely fabulous time - it’s really reminded exactly what I love about this hobby.
  13. Finally fitted the heavy duty links, a twin motor winch and put 5000 weight silicon diff oil in the shocks to try and control the insane body roll. Off to SST pay and play tomorrow, can’t wait.
  14. Another pay and play tomorrow, 28th April ‘24 Will be my first time out in ages!
  15. No I was selling mine but it’s long gone now
  16. As per the title, what are the differences and abilities of the Tamiya Teu-101bk vs Hobbywing 1060 - I’m just about to start a build that has a Teu-101bk in the box whereas I’m more used to the 1060
  17. I mean next time around, with the new stuff
  18. I’d connect it all up without the motor fully fitted in the car to test it next time around
  19. Have you checked that the drive train is completely free moving without a motor installed? A transmission that is bound will draw more amps and could potentially blow the ESC I guess - but not with it switched off
  20. Shouldn’t have that I can see - my gut feel is a faulty 1060 ESC which is super rare but not impossible
  21. Wiring and jumpers all look good, I’d just tidy it up a bit more myself, but it’s all correct
  22. Does everything in the transmission turn freely with no binding? Have you had the motor out at all, could you have meshed the gears too tightly when you put it back in? It’s possible that the motor may be damaged - a bad motor can sometimes turn with no load on it but as soon as you fit wheels and expect it to go it doesn’t have the torque to work.
