  1. Move your throttle trim when you turn it on and see if it binds, it probably won't bind if it's registered throttle input
  2. I'd have a look at the wl toys k989 they are a decent little car for the money and robust

    Tools!

I'm going to look at the ifix-it range when I'm looking at new hand tooling, they seem good quality and have a lifetime warranty and the full sets are affordable in both 5.5mm and 1/4 hex sets
  4. Sadly it's the minority of the dog walkers, hikers and park plodders (mostly retired and never had a hobby since stamp collecting as a kid) that hate anything out of their comfort zone or could break one of the rules they've spent many hours looking for especially if it is faster than a mobility scooter, makes a noise or is any fun (aside from kicking an inflated ego around that's allowed but only just), they are the type who moved from the city to the country for the views and complain about the farms, they are the generation who had free reign as kids but put their kids Infront of computers then complained when it became the thing kids wanted to do and now they complain to see unsolicited fun And it's the sad thing that they only succeeded because of pester power Sadly forums are becoming like the 4' square newspapers and a decent selection hobby mags they've all turned to the antisocial media for the instancy of reaction and reduction of costs
  5. There's a bashing group over at Leeds on Facebook and there's a small club that have access to a gravel pitch and carpark over at Keighley, but up here there's more solo or small groups meeting up because of issues with Ken's and Karen's also council wardens are using the motorised vehicles bylaws to close down usable areas The demon bash was scrubbed I think it was because they had issues with the council not mowing the grass so it fizzled out
  6. The last year or so, It's a result of the chip shortage stopping the tamiya production so they got the 1060 instead, the 1060 is an ok esc but 15t is it's limit not 12t like it said in the instructions and it works well with a 2s but I'd put a lipo alarm on the balance plug it cuts off a bit low
  7. There's a group on Facebook that bash around Leeds/ Bradford area and a group of us that bash around Keighley/ Haworth, there's a Yorkshire crawler group on there too
  8. Mjx hyper go from AliExpress (easy RC sell a rebadged variant through nodelsport) or the ftx tracer
  9. There's only nrd and mb are the only permanent indoor tracks we've got up this end
  10. Steering servo is bad so I'd add one to the cart along side a set of hinge pins because you'll find the stock arms are quite strong (on our 2 cars we've only fitted one to each), a spur gear is useful to have handy and get some decent nylock wheel nuts stock are pants (avoid fastrax ones I had 2 fail) I'd ditch the alloy hexes you don't need them but the best thing to do when you get it spray it down with gt85 and leave it to soak for 24 hours it makes things less brittle (I was sceptical but we've bashed the snot out of ours and only changed the 2 arms the rest of the plastics are original)
  11. I'd ask at nrd in Wakefield it's the nearest drift venue because there's Modelsport at otley, mb models in Leeds or demon at Wakefield those are the ones over that way that I know of, model shop Leeds is mainly aircraft stuff like t9 in Bradford
  12. We got ours from AliExpress, one was £64 the other was £67 both with free 12 day shipping in the back to school event but both were with 1 2s battery but with hobbyking coming back to the UK some 2 and 3s aftermarket ones will be easier to get
  13. just got around to finally ordering our 2 (got them in the aliexpress sale) after seeing the abuse hardcore rc lads gave theirs they seem to rival the mt10 for been the best budget basher
  14. If it's worked before try Re bind the transmitter and receiver, (if it wont then try a different reciever if you have one then if it works the other reciever is faulty, if it doesn't it's the transmitter ) If it's new check the reciever is compatible with the transmitter
  15. Hi everyone I just thought I'd share my ongoing projects the v1 and V2 marauder conversion with minimal destruction of the stock chassis Here's the v1 it's a hitch pitch of parts to check things will work in place of the tank and engine, The gears are the only bit I've had to change because you can't get 24dp pinions so I had to switch over to 1mod But there are going to be some mods done but I've put them in a video to save the post getting too long Here's the V2 unlike the v1 I've stripped it back to the chassis and gone for a custom doubler plate The motor and gearing are a failed upgrade The V2 has the custom 12mm hex axles I've uploaded the first run of the v1 conversion to my channel, and I did a tool box talk on the technical bits https://youtu.be/oiJz9QSl3J4
  16. Try recalibrating the esc but if it persists I'd give the motor a check over as there could be damage to the brushes
  17. they are holding up great a few little scuffs but they are 3x the thickness of arrmaskins i run the same servo on our 2 and its held up well over the last year
  18. the mt10 is 100x better than the ftx, but the 2 v2s especially will need a couple of tweaks, the servos are weak, the wheel nuts need swapping to nylock nuts and the hub caps want taking off and putting in the box
  19. Yeah most have 4mm banana plugs fitted
  20. just run your existing charger off a 12v power supply and upgrade once you need to , you'll find a number of them on ebay, the charger looks to be a delta peak so as long as your on the nimh program or output you'll be all good but i'm not sure how much life those cells will have been a good 10 or 15 years old
  21. Here's the post some of you have been waiting for, Basherskinz have mt10 skins live on the site https://www.basherskinz.com/collections/team-associated-mt10
  22. You could bump it up to 5a but I'd be turning off the time limit if you can
  23. Yeah narrow front wheels is standard for buggys, it's to allow tighter turns and not catch the steering arm
  24. no pic buddy, but its best practice to run the same diameter wheels on a 4wd but for a 2wd it won't matter
