  1. Would i get away with the wider wheels?
  2. Will take a look at the article. Is there anyway to work put how stiff the springs are. Or would it just be better to replace the shocks out with new ones. The car is a bsd racing model from 10 year ago. 4wd buggy at the time know as a compression brushless or flux assault.
  3. Hi I need to replace some oil in the shocks of my RC car. I've been through the manual and on the website but can't find any info that tells me the rating of oil I need is it the cSt or the WT rating. The car is a 1/10th brushless buggy and I generally use it for just bashing around sometimes it is on a car-park or road and sometimes on a field with some jumps. Thanks Simon
  4. Hi Fred Yes I hit enter too soon I've edited my post its an older 4wd buggy but it came with narrower front wheels This one for spares https://www.centuryuk.com/Spares/Car-Spares/MORE/Electric-Compression-10th
  5. Hi All I am seeking advice on some new wheels for my RC car. I've struggling to find something that is a like-for-like match for the front wheels of my older brushless compression buggy from Century The current wheels are from what I can tell a wheel and tyre combo. Front wheels - Wheel hub 40mm wide x 72mm Dia with the tyre its 100mm Dia Rear wheels - wheel hub 50mm wide x 72mm Dia the tyre its 100mm Both wheels are 12mm hex fitting One option I have is I can still get rear wheels for the buggy but I wonder if these give enough clearance on the front mountings. I took some photos and in one it looks like it is almost touching but I think there is a mm or two spare. I'm really struggling to find a direct like-for-like replacement in terms of size which is driving me mad and don't want to get something that does not fit. The car is an older brushless buggy and I just tend to bash about with it with my son so not looking for anything massively expensive. That said I have been looking on various sites and the choice is mind-boggling to me and I'm worried I'll pick something that won't fit especially if they are wider than the current 40mm wheels. Then there is the offset that I read about and depending on the offset it may help as it could push the wheel further out if that's the right term. MY final comment question is could I just upgrade to larger diameter wheels and sort of move to something more like a truggy wheel and tyre?
  6. Some other photos it really just for bashing about sometimes in large carparks we have a large field near by and possibly some use on BMX track or skate park. Had some fun with my sons little buggy on skate park. Or would i be better with a truck or truggy. Part of me didn't want to spend around £60 or so on my older car to replace wheels and servo when I saw this.
  7. Hi Yeah the 2s are used as a pair to i guess give it 4s power. It has 2 sects of DEANs connectors.
  8. I saw it as and upgrade to my current car thats is now in need of a new front servo and some tyres. That car is a much older BSD racing Compression Brushless. buggy. Had it about 10 years and started to use it more now my 8 year has got into RC cars he has a smaller brushed truggy that he loves to drive.
  9. I'll add up what i see in the photo's and go from there if i was paying full price I think it would be way over £300 seen the same cars second hand and used on ebay for £250 or so will go comparing.
  10. By all accounts its a current car available in a few places. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hpi-trophy-buggy-flux-24ghz-383161
  11. Hi Quick question I have a possible option to purchase a HPI trophy flux buggy for what seems like a good price as it includes various bits of kit curious if it is worth it. Offering The car claims not used much On road spare wheels 4 Lipos 2 x RoaringTop 5200mAh 50C and 2 x Sport Track 5300mAh 55C - both sets are 2s Charger C1 XR All for £160 Is it too good to be true? A google of the parts suggest none of the machine player in the UK sell them so all form the far east. The Photo suggest it is good condition
  12. My wheels are 12mm hex fitting. Seem like a mind field of choice although not sure what to go for in terms of tread we have a field to drive on with some sort of jumps then mainly it on car parks dusty roads. My gears I run a 15 on the motor and a 51 on the spur gear. Don't do a lot of driving really when my 8 year old takes out his smaller truggy. Sort of hoping he will get good on that and i can give him my car before he goes on to buy his own. When you say MSUK is that modelsport.co.uk?
  13. Very much a neebie and wanted some advise on putting larger wheels / tyres on my older RC car to turn it into a bit more of a truggy. Its a brushless buggy I guess you would call it. See the photos I think originally a BS701G-R which came in a few variations. Current wheels are front 2.8inch 1.5inch (39mm) rears are 2.8inch x 2inch (50mm). Can't quite work out the off set of the wheels read some guides and looks like they are close to zero or if anything a few mm towards the positive side. One of my worries is the front wheels as there is currently not a lot of clearance. My wider rear wheels do just fit but only just and I'm not sure there is really enough clearance as it even smaller than in the photos shown. Would a wheel with a negative off set help? As I figured it would push the wheel further out from the mount point and have less over lap of the steering arm and mounts. Thanks in advance.
