  1. The Maverick Quantum flux is well worth the money. Quality is pretty good and they are great for a beginner especially if just running on a 2s lipo. I'd stay away from the FTX Carnage as myself & many others here on the forum have had bad experiences with them.
  2. Awesome line up of prizes there @Nick I certainly wouldn't mind the Python! 😍
  3. @fuegan13 Looks really good with the MX5 shell mate 👍 now all you need to do is paint the wheels black 😉
  4. Hello mate, that's a nice collection you got there Welcome to the forum.
  5. @Jack Reacher Nice one mate, 42mph is a very good speed on 2s. I would say that you hardly even need the extra volts, especially if it's just going to put extra strain on the drivetrain.
  6. @Jens Very impressive driving skills! 👍 I think you might have a future pro racer there 😉
  7. Wish you the best of luck Jack 👍 Hopefully all goes well & you can get some good speed on the 3s
  8. @DogBone Looks really good mate, nice job
  9. Decided to drill some new new holes in my spare Carnage bodyshell and fit it to the Quantum instead. I think it looks pretty cool actually
  10. Looks awesome mate. I'm glad it's worked out well for you 👍
  11. Took the MT Flux out for a bash today. Went through the first 2 packs with no issues then broke a rear turnbuckle rod end 10 minutes into the 3rd lipo. D'oh! Time to give it a clean now anyway
  12. Took the Quantum out for a bash today 😁 Broke one of the rear turnbuckle rod ends 😩 I had a look on MS for HD rod ends to replace it but could only find the standard ones. Do they not make a hardened version of this part?
  13. Hello Dave, welcome to the forum mate
  14. Thinking about getting a Hyper VSe for the spring/summer season & noticed that they're set up to run 2x 2s lipos in series (different from all my other RC's). Now that's fine as I have plenty of 2s lipo's with the correct plugs, but I was wondering if it'll be possible to run it on a single 4s lipo?

I've had a good look around and only been able to find one place with the correct adapter (1 male 2 female deans) and it's a chinese seller on Ebay with delivery on the 28th April...

So I was wondering if any of you happened to know of a better place to buy said adapter? & also is it actually fine to run a single 4s on this ESC or is there a reason why these adapters seemingly don't really exist?

      Cheers everyone 👍

It was always gonna be either the Typhon or the Hyper for me. And the more time that's gone by & the more research i've done has now got my mind firmly set on the Hobao. Plus I always wanted a nitro Hyper 7 when I was a lot younger but never ended up getting one. Got the Losi LST2 instead, which I still have, but i'm yet to get it up & running again. I think that'll be an upcoming project for me this spring.

  15. Deal of the day: Some red wheels with used tyres for a mere £1,100
  16. Looks fantastic mate! Very nice build 👍
  17. I always use these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/FANTESI-Double-Adhesive-Mounting-Stickers/dp/B07HMS9KKN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=super+sticky+pads&qid=1614508335&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzMzc1OUJZMjJNTzZYJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTU5NjQ5MzdKREdJNFQ2TUY5RCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDg4MTM2MUhGUVJENFJMVkxUNiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Very sticky indeed & the foam layer helps to soften the blow on chassis slammer landings 👍
  18. @tomr Looks like it goes well mate & can survive many tumbles👍 I can see why you haven't bothered putting the wing back on 😋
  19. Hi Jonny. You should be able to find most of the ZD Racing replacement parts on Banggood. Which model do you have?
  20. Well after reading that essay I think it's fairly obvious that Aaron is a manipulative narcissist who will never admit fault & will try to twist any situation to fit his narrative.
  21. @Tabbie Very nice I actually quite like the simplistic look of the Big Rock, and from what i've seen they're pretty damn tough! I'll probably be treating myself to a new RC in Spring & it's either gonna be one of these, or the 3s Typhon, so i'll be interested to hear about how you get on with yours.
  22. @DAL3D Yes mate they are quite a tight fit! Espeically the 5200mah Vorjay. It's literally within 0.1mm. And yeah, just the roll cage itself is keeping the batteries held down nicely, not that they have any room to move about anyway. Haha, cheers! I'd seen a few people mount their lipos on their side on smaller models before and well, now I guess i know why!
  23. So I took the WL Desert Buggy (124018) out for the first time today. I have to say it performs really well & better than I expected. It handles quite differently from my 144001, in a good way. It drives straight as an arrow on full throttle from a standstill and you can make sharp turns at high speeds without worry of rolling it or worse watching it cartwheel 50 metres down the road. It's a great little buggy, and fast too for a brushed model. 35mph on 2s. The only thing I didn't like was how quickly it drained the battery. Only got about 15 minutes from the 2200mah lipo that it comes with. So I decided hey, why not see if I can fit one of my bigger 2s batteries in there. So I removed both parts of the battery tray, the strap, and also the 2 drivers/nos cannisters part of the bodyshell. Now my 3250mah Voltz fits in there with room to spare and even my new 5200mah Vorjay just squeezes in there as well. Lovely! Should get plenty of run time now 👍
