i like your garden video`s im the one that commented about no badgers in my garden and having fields at back of house you would think we would get them -
I try to plan to charge night before with my lipo`s, when i was flying rc planes i might have to charge a few Thursday/friday and saturday ready for a sunday session
-
you might of been better giving each lipo a proper charge

FTX Centaur/RGT Pro runner 1/10th scale Trail crawler RTR
Lone-wolf replied to Lone-wolf's topic in Scale Crawlers & Replicas
ordered a set of roof bars hopefully will be here soon after the new truck which might be with me by end of week, i think these bars look rather scale as to what might be fitted to the 1:1 Bronco -
just look on ebay for 50mm ammo case if you get one cut a short section out of the rubber seal in the lid, dead easy to do

Okay its been time to get a bit more positive with the "Pig in a poke", first up it was time to tackle low speed modulation, it comes with a 1060, not bad but could be a lot better so fitted a Hobbywing 1080 and took a bit of time setting it up just nice, low speed modulation is now a LOT better. Next up was not happy with the wheel hex`s, i found the wheels did not seem to fit just nice then remembered i had a set of Brass 12mm hex extenders, so on they went, seems better and as a result the truck now has a slightly wider track. As a future mod i am tempted to remove the rear silver bed, (shell is bolted 2 part) and get some Black 3mm plasticard and attempt to make a kinda flatbed/pari daker type bed for it and have the lipo mounted in a box right behind the cab, i would likely double up the bed base to 6mm, with 3mm sides
-
Was not so happy with the wheel hex set up on the NT4, then remembered i had some 12mm brass hex extensions so decided to fit them, the wheels are better supported now and as a bonus a little wider on the stance of the truck
-
0.2v variation is nowt to worry about but good point regarding checking lipo`s i have a lot in metal ammo cans but will be getting rid of plenty of them due to giving up flying

Very regretful sale of this model but i HAVE to make room and this has had very little use, i built this from a Coyote 2.1 kit so it has the nice Ali shocks and bearings, a HPI 35t motor and a HW 1060 esc, plus power HD style MG servo with metal servo arm. Tyres are brand new never run clone Traxxas trails and very good, fitted to plastic beadlock wheels. body is Jconcepts grandma van 51 Ford, it is paints on inside and outside, the idea was it would start to scratch allowing some weathering/different colours to show throw but it has a Matt clear coat over the top that has proved very resilient, if you buy this almost new truck do NOT try removing stickers as they are lacquered over and wont come of, there are warm white lights fitted to front bumper and red led fitted to rear body, this has a custom rear bumper and have to say is a really nice trail truck, comes with reedy/element 2 channel radio, basic but gets you out there running. Hard to price this as its very unique but need it gone so lets say £130 and for now its collection only from West Yorks, i may end up putting it on market place for local sales , sorry no offers and not splitting it

In the hope i can get to like the Cross NT4 i stuck an HW 1080 ESC in and set it up, time will tell, dont laugh at all the wires thats how it arrived from new

40amp should be plenty for a crawler, i would be surprised if that motor pulled more than 20 amps -

got a feeling it might be first RTR brushless crawler in mass production, does look a real capable rig -

From what i have seen this will run rings round a TRX4 but then there is the long term reliability, even this Traxxas hater would be first to admit the TRX4 seems to be ultra reliable, i imagine there will be a YT video soon with this rig up against a TRX -
FTX Centaur/RGT Pro runner 1/10th scale Trail crawler RTR
Lone-wolf replied to Lone-wolf's topic in Scale Crawlers & Replicas
Yeah the 2WD i believe is FWD, like you this is one feature im not sure about but it may prove decent in high gear trail running, im guessing the 1:1 2021 Bronco is this set up -
Starting a thread for the above models both the same truck, Very high spec including Dig, 2WD/4WD, clipless body mount, and magnetic light cable connector, has 550 35 turn motor Hobbywing 1060 esc 25kg steering servo plus 25kg winch fitted. 2 speed transmission, beadlock wheels, available in Red or Blue with Matt Black roof and the RGT is also available in a very nice Green with Matt black roof, i have this one on order and with luck may be here in 5-10 days, i would of ordered from UK but really like the Green. Will post up more once the truck has arrived, if you already have one please post up on here, some stock images below just to get things started

Redcat Ascent Fusion Crawler - 1:10 LCG Rock Crawler
Lone-wolf replied to TheNewsGuy's topic in RC News
seen a few YT video`s and this looks a winner on spec and performance but same old thing, we dont have a Redcat dealer here in UK and shipping plus import from Redcat makes this less tempting -
Interestingly I have entered a raffal competition to try win a speed runner from Raz Shifren, God knows what I would do with it should I win more than likely sell it on
-
Yep looks good on on the pro chassis, a mate used to run that same body on a 10 II chassis and it worked well
-
This is why i quit speed runs, i loved being part of it and at one point i was sure i had the fastest FTX Vantage (62 MPH) but lack of suitable roads to run on called time for me

Its Anglesey Barracks at Dinorwic quarry Llanberis, these tiny houses had up to 3 miners living in them at a time, there was a little fireplace for cooking and that was about it, have to say the walk to get these pics was pretty hard going for us but worth doing -
