  1. They are great, cant help on the towbar, as for bushings at least they dont rust and seize up after a wet run and yes all gears are metal.....unlike the FCX18
  2. No not for me the fcx18 series strip the plastic gears in axles and gearbox
  3. does the kit come with a pair of very large Brushed motors and esc`s and maybe a ubec for the 10amp supply, i would just stick with brushed, but if you have not seen it on Youtube Tomley RC is building one of these and he went brushless maybe look at what he is using
  4. Already done the heavy wheels on mine not spending any more on it
  5. n not much no more than mine, just heavier wheels
  6. small positive update, i have watched a fair few NT4 video`s over the weekend and seems a lot of people have bought this model, they seem to be doing okay on video so next time i get a chance for a run out i will try the NT4 again and see if i can start to like it a bit
  7. change esc and radio, better servo and the metal diff`s plus move electrics to rear and lipo to front position, only other weak point can be the drive shafts from transmission to axles once all this is done its a pretty capable solid rig
  8. Thanks i am pleased how it turned out and it really handles was better than when it was a Jimny
  9. Yep..........just a shame rubber not glued to rims ha ha
  10. as per title a short car park run with this but turns out tyres not glued to rims so they were rolling of , other than that car runs just sweet
  11. It does look good, if i go for it i would need to sell the Injora and Blitzer beetle but i also really like the look of the new element 12 ecto, i feel that has a lot of potential, cant do both
  12. good luck with this, wonder what became of my old 60+MPH Vantage
  13. I think i may sell my Injora buggy and maybe one other rig to make room for a new addition and fund it, i have been looking at a smaller rock buggy and seems this will do the job nice
  14. funny thing, watched a video on this only today and rather tempted to sell a couple of rigs and get one of these, i feel with a few little mods it would perform really well over the places i run my rigs
  15. go for the Gladis then, does seem a great rig for not a lot of money, its an update to my fury 2.0 and that has not missed a beat for me
  16. Searching the bay of thieves for a faster laptop just to speed up video editing figured max budget of 400 sobs and the search is totally doing my head in

  17. To try to help more, what is your max budget? what kind of place do you have where you can run a crawler? are you wanting a scale rig. For all out crawling ability out of the box rtr the element enduro rigs take a lot of beating, my gatekeeper converted to Texan cab power wagon is just amazing, i removed the cage body, fitted a texan cab better wheels and tyres and its good to go
  18. Try the Gladius, its low price for what you get, if you dont like crawling sell it on
  19. had i of known how i would feel about this i think i might of bought the cheap FTX Gladius for £259 and done a few nice upgrades
  20. I appreciate what your saying but i wont be doing this, another issue with RTR is they wont come apart, screws are in so darn tight that even using my trusty quality Wera hex drivers, the bolts wont come out, i have tried to remove a shock to check oil wont shift, i tried to get a portal cover of, yep wont come undone. The more i look at this rig and talk about it the more i dislike it
  21. I do wish i had a solution to the situation with mine, and the more this dilemma goes on the less i want to run it, a real shame as i had such high hopes for this model, but the only outlook i see is to keep it and just run it on trail drives once in a while to try and have some use from it
  22. Yes it was Financial hardship that struck them but sorry to say this was caused by Traxxas legal action, this is fact, not just me having a pop at Traxxas
  23. You have run yours side by side with an Element but i have a modified gatekeeper and no way will the NT4 do what the Element can do, it has been okay`ish so far but if i am brutally honest i regret spending £400 on this model plus the cost of a few upgrades like the wheels and better radio, for what i have paid out i could of got a Traxxas TRX4 hi trail and we know that is less scale looking but more capable of road and more than likely tougher along with a much better parts supply , i want to call it a day and sell this model on but i cant as i would lose to much money on it, so it would appear i am stuck with a pig in a poke, i wont spend any more money on it and dont see me using it so looks like i have my first shelf queen model. When i looked at getting this i also considered the budget LDRC cheap 1/12 Unimog and in hindsight it would of been a better buy as its a LOT less money! Sorry to be brutal honest but i like to speak my mind
