  1. My bad, it was rated at 25kg and is now no longer available
  2. Did you not get the trx specific steering servo with the longer cable?
  3. Wasn't the Snap-on version a limited edituon in the states only? The way they seem to be marketing this makes me think it is a permanent addition to the range. Looking on YouTube a tilting bed is do-able
  4. That looks fantastic - almost be a shame to get it dirty!
  5. According to the specs it's about 15cm more between the front and middle axle than the G63. Like Nick says, it's a pity the bed doesn't tilt but there's plenty of space to fit some sort of mechanism if it could be made to work.
  6. Not been a fan of the power wagon type body up to now but have to say Jack that does look right at home on the trail
  7. A Pumpkin was the first rc I bought new - to replace the tamiya fox I'd bought off a mate after I destroyed the chassis lol. So much fun popping wheelies everywhere in the street thanks to the uprated motor, tho made it a handful at the indoor race meet I used to attend. Really thinking about getting one for fun but want a traxxas UDR too - and the wife will probably kill me whichever way I go lol
  8. Looks like a really good find you got there! I really like these and a bit like you I keep thinking why haven't I had one yet - might have to start adding a couple to my watch list
  9. Just found this which gives another option. Might have a short wait for them to hit these shores though https://www.bigsquidrc.com/hpi-racing-announces-new-2022-vorza-truggy-line-up/
  10. It does have light buckets - red highlighted are rear and green the front
  11. You could also try fitting the overdrive diff gear set whilst you fitted that to improve it further.
  12. The easiest way to lose overall weight is to remove the roof rack, spare tyre, jack and cans off the back and remove fenders/flares which helps bring the cog down also. But then it doesn't look as good and fills up with debris easily. Otherwise lots of brass available for various axle parts to add weight low down - but maybe not a good idea if you're looking to send it over big jumps on 3s!
  13. I'm liking it a lot. I think maybe we've got used to a lot of releases having slightly oversized tyres for the proportions - more like the type that would go with a lift kit on a 1:1 As mentioned above its nice to not have yet another defender/jeep
  14. Welcome to the dark side! A couple of things I did with my defender (well, the lad's now) to limit falling over etc. Fitted the bronco spare to remove some of the rear mounted weight and also some cheapo ally beadlocks Also a steel front axle - that made a big difference to stability and climbing ability. Havent felt the need to try different tyres yet as its more trail based but the stock tyres grip well on damp rocks and stuff. Have fun with it and then see what you need to do to suit you. As always with Traxxas based models there are loads of upgrades available
  15. Maybe it's the additional cost of a second set of links for the 'active rear toe'......... 🤔
  16. Maybe they're following Traxxas pricing strategy lol
  17. Here you go! https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/ford-bronco-becomes-available-uk-specialist-dealer
  18. Remember wanting that Group C Merc first time around so very tempted. But been waiting for a new gen Scania to come along so that might have to go on the wish list. But then the Bronco looks really good too........... 🤔🤔🤔
  19. That's how I felt, really didn't see the appeal. And then I bought a trx defender and now I like the fact I can be driving solidly for over an hour on 1 battery - not to mention the skill challenges every new obstacle brings. But as Stormbringers says, we each have our own enjoyment. But buy a Bromco ( in black) and if you don't like it sell to me at half price 😂
  20. I think Gaz detailed how to resolve this somewhere in the Trx4 owners thread. Here's a screen shot from a similar question in the traxxas forums
  21. Either kit would give you a good solid base to start from. There are cheaper options but having only owned both the premium kit and the sport kit I can vouch for their strength - especially when launched off walls etc. The sport would be good if you already had rx/tx etc, maybe add the 2 speed if you do a lot of trails. The premium kit does give you the locking diffs and 2 speed but the diffs on mine stay locked 99% of the time. Another thing to note is the servos that come with it are limited to 6V and are known to fail - you could sell the radio gear etc though.
  22. This looks great, one of the most capable chassis available, now with ifs and lots of scale realism potential. Would love a chassis kit with ifs but this might have to be my next purchase (along with a 3d printer lol)
  23. Just spotted this on big squid. Must admit will seriously considering selling the Trx4 for one when/if they become available over here https://www.bigsquidrc.com/element-rc-enduro-knightrunner-rtr/
  24. A couple of bad phone pics of my newly converted trx4 bronco pickup. Couple of brackets and a piece of lexan to hold the roll bar to the side trim mounts. Still got to hide the light switches with the crate from the proline set. Will probably live up to Stormbringers expectations as the body weighs quite a lot.....
