  1. Thanks mate πŸ‘. It's grand having a crawler course in the garden.
  2. Just had a go with the Bronco on the crawler course, not convinced. I'm going to try steelies with brass rings in the front. It seemed to do better with the other wheels.
  3. Black nuts on the front smarty pants πŸ‘
  4. New wheels and tyres on the Bronco. Brass beadlocks, 58mm tyres. I want to see how it performs compared to steelies. I think the only stock parts are the body, battery tray and shocks. Stock shocks are pretty good.
  5. I've just been using mine, smooth as. I've no complaints.
  6. Thanks mate πŸ‘. The suspension travel is a little more. The stock shocks have bump stops on the shock shafts that are about 6-8mm. The wheels sit nicely in the arches, under full compression the tyres don't touch. The desert lizard shocks move a lot more and smoother than stock, due to the the springs being way to firm. The driveshafts are fine at full articulation. The high trail servo mount does touch the top of the axle when the n/s front shock is compressed. Stock Trx4 servo mount fixes that.
  7. Glad you like itπŸ‘ The injora esc is a good upgrade.
  8. I have a good few hobbywing lcd programs boxes. If the firmware doesn't match it won't work and that's with hobbywing esc's. So I doubt it will work but don't honestly know.
  9. Thanks mate πŸ‘. I'm happy with it. I need to try and get the paint off the windows.
  10. Fitted the desert lizard shocks. Does sit a chunk lower, that's with 110mm shocks. Brass portal covers on the rear while I'm at it.
  11. Lowering the F150 high trail. The desert lizard shocks aren't a straight fit on the Trx4. A 4.5mm spacer works fine. 4-5mm will work as the plastic inner fenders will compress and little when tightened up. Hopefully the end result should be lower ride height but same amount of suspension travel if not a little more.
  12. Here's the little capra getting stuck on its skid plate again and again. Can't make it easy. I thought it may have just cleared that section. I did this bit for the mini crawlers. The sendero made it up yesterday.
  13. Can't make it easy. The Trx4m does way better than the little capra.
  14. Thanks mate, that's what got me! Those bodies are so good looking. I've lowered my blazer high trail with softer springs, sags down quite a bit.
  15. @TommyC like @Stormbringer said. You might want to try the firmer springs on the rear of your Defender. The weight of the body makes it sag quite a lot.
  16. One of my trx4s was the kit. Really nice kit to build. I recently got a 2021 Bronco body for it. A set of 324mm stainless links from Injora and the inner fenders with the clipless mounts for body (trx8080x).
  17. Fitted some 1.9s to my F150 high trail. Waiting on springs to lower the ride height. I do think they look better than the 2.2s.
  18. @markymarky There's plenty of room elsewhere in the garden.
  19. Here's another section. This needs linking up to the main part in the middle of the garden pictured above.
  20. The 1/18 scale trucks are a pretty good size for most of itπŸ‘ I've done bits specifically for the mini crawlers.
  21. I've had a crawler course in my garden for years. I had quite a few wall building projects with big piles of stone lying around so I've made the most of it for my crawlers. It went most of the way round the garden. I've made a few bits permanent with cement and stone. But most of it originally was stone and rock piled up. Like my stupid user name suggests I live on a steep hill. It's probably nearly 30ft from lowest to the highest point in the garden, so there's plenty of steep climbs and descents. Here's a picture from the cctv which shows most of the recent work I've done. It's good for 1/10 crawlers and good for mini crawlers. Trx4m is a great size for it. The terrain is very unforgiving (when the truck tumbles down it) , mainly sandstone and a strong mix of grit or sharp sand, so very grippy. I've done this so hopefully I can use it all year round. The other stone found in the local area gets slimey in the winter or very wet weather. The Trx4m tarantula is very good on the course. And here's the Bronco coming down a section.. And here's another little line in the Bronco... Thanks for looking and if anyone else wants to show your crawler course, please do.
