  1. It looks like you have clockable C hubs on that axle. If you do then rotate them backwards a few splines, this will help with the arc of your steering and improve ledge climbing ... You may have to rework the drag link no doubt..
  2. I must say, you are right in this example! The doors and roof line etc are reasonable mind. Perhaps the bonnet line goes down to the chrome strip, can't think how a real bronco hood is aligned right at this moment....
  3. What I have found previously with "China" hard bodies is that the only downside was that they felt slightly heavier than some. The external detailing was fine, but the internal/moulding/production they tended to err on the over engineering side of things in terms of thickness etc. This in itself for most "scalers" or "trailers" is no down side whatsoever. For me however who is always looking at cut and shut "lightweight" hard body options they have not been suitable candidates.. As to the painting, I prefer the lay up over lexan shoot and hope any day and the extra detailing with a hardbody really does blow away lexan period 👍
  4. I'd say he could probably just do it if he has radio gear and purchased sensibly ..... Or had some 4S batteries already... The Teknos are undeniably the top dog and a great kit to build. But there are plenty of fun options from Traxxas and Arrma. I've not heard much good re the Corally units myself..

    Want a 30dnt

@Hell horn. I think he has one for sale - or certainly something similar!! haha...
  6. Happy New Year Bump! Sensible offers and combine discounts offered 👍
  7. Without wishing to offend the LGBGTQGTQ+ lot but wholly in keeping with the attitude of this post I don't see much difference between the two men if you know what I mean! 😜 Just that one is on a crusty clunky old but no doubt cool looking bike and smokes, whilst the other is on a ridiculous looking but no doubt fun electric Childs scooter.... 🤷‍♂️
  8. Sadly I haven't read "proper" for some years... Last thing would have been No Boundary by Ken Wilbur - a book about worldly approaches to consciousness! I don't think I quite finished it either... Otherwise mostly just technical manuals or researching for various projects.... I plan to catch up on reading during retirement!. I also promised the missus I would cook more then..... HMPF!...
  9. Sorry I have no experience of this I can give you.. Generally anything is possible, just depends upon how much engineering you want to do.... Personally I would just up the size of the pinion first, if not then buy a faster motor. You could also if your electronics allow go up a cell count battery wise - ie 2S to 3 or 3 to 4S. Or as mentioned above if you can stretch to it get a brushless set up which can offer a larger parameter of speed.... Oh, also, if you are running portals you could overdrive them both for more speed also.... But ideas mentioned already are better...
  10. Sorry to hear yours are sounding dodgy... I did have some spares but think I gave them away a while back - will double check for you. What id do have mind that may be of interest to you are XR10 width Ali Beef Tubes. These give Xr width but also if coupled with XR or cheaper wraith hubs you get an insane amount of extra steering!!.. May not be of interest but thought I'd mention them anyway....
  11. I think he may have listed it on his build thread.... If not send him a pm 👍
  12. As above, everything is a compromise. Bottom line 1.9s and their lower c of g in certain conditions will offer better off camber control and sidehilling. But as soon as you hit larger gaps or rises you may have an issue. As to the gearing, you are right it will slow it down some. All depends upon what terrain you are on. Personally, having come from comp crawling I like 2.2s if you are not bound by regulations or scale "look" criteria. The trick is to set the rig ride height and geo up right for whichever tyre you use 👍 With regards to break over many of us run our rigs lower than ideal for these types of obstacles, but once practiced a wee bit extra throttle normally gets us over these issues whilst still retaining a relatively low c of g.. If however you are just trailing with a small bit of crawl and prefer 1.9s then I dont see any issue at all with it!!
  13. Thanks Brian, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Always nice to be able to put back into this forum, and even nicer if folk actually like it!!🤣 I have to say, this rig came out really nice, though I did prefer it pre mud as I 'ate the stuff!!! It was all @Andy-Roo fault! He forced me into the water... which then led to mucky paws!!! lol... Rust wise there was a plan to now rust up the battle scars some but I'm not as keen as some on a full rust look... I think Andy had some cool stuff with actual iron filings and magic which I was gonna look into 👍
  14. As others have said, if I were you I'd drive the hell out of it and have fun! And if/when it breaks then look into upgrades or fix 👍
  15. Just for note on here... I've had an Arrma Granite V2 3s for ages ( recently sold) and still own a 4S Outcast (albeit on a lab chassis now) and the boy and I have beaten the snot out of these and not once had an issue with the diffs or the spur! Just maintain them and replace body mounts and small bits when they break is all I've done 👍
  16. I certainly don't wish to offend, but don't really "need" the wheels... But if you get no other offers I'd be happy to give £22 for them.
  17. They look proper cool them. Ummed and arred on one a while back but still not scratched the rally urge..... Be good to see what you do with it 👍
  18. I'm no expert on nitro let alone buggies really... But £100 is cheap as chips, if the rig runs I'd be inclined to go for it.. That or do more research and look then 👍 One point of note re nitros, they are proper noisy and quite dirty messing with fuel. Hopefully the area you will run it in will be ok with that (noise ).. Goodluck and enjoy your RC whenever you find one!
  19. No worries mate, pm me if you want a chat sometime or other queries... Pat himself is quite hard to get hold of and takes a while but I have his mobile now 😈so can sort that for you should you decide to go that way... You may also want to look into MOA rock crawlers - basically independent motors and controls front and rear. These come up more often for sale ( And infact an iteration of my XR10 build on here will be for sale shortly if of interest) . I need to post up my latest build on here too - Pats Ventru Pro MOA rig I've been building 😍
