Today I witnessed in person a Typhon with a an advanced organic based composite chassis aka plywood, running two motors, one per differential and 6S per motor, jump 69 meters on grass.

Guy wanted a lightweight chassis that would stand up to being jumped that far and high and if it broke, no big deal. Pretty much everything else breaks or bends anyway unless you land perfectly with that size of jump. Even a perfect landing will often blow out shock caps. Seen it destroy every make and model used so far.

PayPal claims time for uberRC. Have him a month to sort this out. Still refuses to even go to the place it was delivered too, he's admitted he even has access to it, says it wasn't delivered despite RM saying it was.
Will also refer to trading standards and I hope it's referred to the police for fraud. Do not buy from UberRC. Faulty items will not be honoured.
-
Yeah, it's a sad state. I compare this to KillerRC who without question sent me a replacement SuperBee after rcmodelz wouldn't replace it themselves despite giving them a video of it not working and stating I'd send it back.
The last UK RC company that seems to have any concept of customer service is RCmax.
-
So UberRc are con artists. He won't replace the servo but will sell me one at cost.

Bad service rather than con artist lol. But yh go PayPal they've sorted me out on real con artist a huge wardrobe they knew was faulty split panels. Multiple reports. Like they got them bargain cheap cheap then knocked them out on ebay.
They told me to either live with it or pay for return shipping on like 70kg. Mirrors alone were like 30kg. They knew I wouldn't return it.
PayPal told them to either collect it or dont. Theyll refund me either way lol. They collected it within two days.

Still no servo from Uber. Lost in the post after it wasn't picked up from the address the company is registered too and then sent back. No idea what to do because I'm now without a servo, 360 quid and the base it goes with is useless to me without it.
-
UberRC is giving me the run around. Sent back servo, RM says delivered, guy says it's not delivered, didn't read my email says it should be sent to a different address and is away for two weeks now. Very disappointed.

@Oh How Original A farce yes and I have to spend another 30 quid to buy a new battery and servo try so I can race at the local tracks first event in 3 weeks. There is a good possibilty of my 5ive appearing on a youtube channel with 300k subs then too. Would have been a great advert for him.

Anyone have experience of http://radiocontrolracing.co.uk?
Made an order a week ago, fired off a few emails to ask when it's been shipped as all the items were in stock. No answer.

It might be worth trying to contact him through Facebook/messenger. I would have thought you would have heard from him by now though.

Castle Slate motors entirely sold out everywhere? Anyone know of someone stocking them that actually has stock?

I think it must be the 8th scale motors made in the USA then, I know one 'range' of motors is, or at least they claim it is.
That's the irony of these 'fake' Castle motors being so good... People get so caught up on a brand, where as actually, the Castle ones are probably the exact same materials and quality internally as the £25 jobbies.
-
Different doesn't always mean inferior though, I mean, we've blown two genuine Castle motors very prematurely, to the point they were deemed not fit to repair by Castle and were both replaced, good customer service in that sense, but for the price, compared to HobbyWing and Tekin, they shouldn't blow in the first place.

Parcel force have intercepted my RCmart order. Seems to be a growing trend.

@froggy8 I chose regular air however as someone else pointed out, it gets moved to EMS due to weight. It was free shipping though so didn't have to pay that. Would have been $136 otherwise.

Super impressed by KillerRC for sending me a new super bee after the one I bought stopped working after a few hours. Not so hot on rcmodelz who should have replaced it themselves under standard warranty.

Apparently I'm on a 1 in, 1 out for RCs now

@bertberrI think it's more that I rage quit my job having just bought a house, in a fit of a mid life crisis and I'm trying to conserve my savings.

Im glad to here it tbh lol. Hopfully the sorting office is just backed up. Bham area?
I got some wheels off here theyve been with royal mail a week or 2 and im starting to get nervous.
I really hate the feeling of looking like a scammer pretending to not have the goods or them not sending the goods. I dont think recorded mail was used which just makes it 100% worse. Over £1 difference for reassurance and proof where it is.
I dont like it but ill wait till the last few days possible then make a claim if needed but im preying i dont need to.
So this is hope for me lol. I think i dealt with the guy afew times tho. I know hes trusted hope he knows i am lol. Its just a horrible thing. £35 is £35 lol i wont just ok screw it.
