    Really annoyed with myself. Managed to lose a brand new pair of Hyper 7 steering arms that were for my mates car. Looked everywhere i can think of and no sign of them. Id like to think that i havent accidentally binned them but i am beginning to wonder now :ack:

    Finally got the knocking noise sorted on the Fiesta. Happy as a pig in poo :) Soooo nice to drive after all this time without a clonk after every bump

      what was making the noise ?. as i have had a knocking noise in my bmaxx  for the last 2/3 weeks after checking almost all the car it turned out to be a lose seat bracket on the near side backseat ..

    It's Saturday night and I am sat at the computer watching steam railway videos and cycling a 20 year old NiCd battery to try and bring it back to life. No one can ever say I dont know how to party lol :)

    New battery just ordered for the Hyper. 240 amps nominal compared to 150 of the current one. Should keep the ESC more than happy now.

      How's the motor holding up?  Are you checking temps?  The last alphastar 2350 I used failed miserably on 17/48 gearing in a HN X1 CR, so slightly lower gearing than your using.  It was a warm summers day but nothing extraordinary.

       

      That too went like a stabbed rat - till it realised it'd been stabbed and died.

      Motor seems fine at the moment. Even after racing its guts out on damp grass the can is just warm, not hot by any stretch.

    Four times now I have left my DX2e transmitter switched on and drained the batteries flat. :ack:

      Did the same on a couple occasions with my dx2e until i changed over to nimh's, still drain them occasionally but usually catch em before fully drained so able to charge em back up ok.

      Put a yellow triangle sticker on it programme yourself to see that and think is it off lol.

      or use a lipo marker...green/red....slide it to green when u turn it on...hopefully u`ll see the green n switch it off....then slide to red....:good:

    Two diffs and a pair of shocks done, rear diff and shocks left to do but too bloody cold even with the heater on lol

      Cant remember the last time I orderd anythng Rc! Dam things costs too much :/ would rather chuck it into a 1-1 car now I think!

      Thing is with me I went the other way. After messing around with 1/1 cars for a LONG time lol, I had gotten fed up with getting covered in oil and grease and stuff and lying on a cold hard floor repairing cars in the dark so I could still get to work. At least if the RC's break I can chuck it back in the shed and grab one thats working :)

      Yeah that is a true point! Ive got a heater in the dry garage to work on the car but i need to get some more gas for it... and ive not had chance as working long hours. Got tomorrow off so that is the plan!

    New shock and diff oils ordered for the Hyper. Going to be interesting to see what difference the diff oils will make to how the buggy handles.

      Its for a brushless Hyper 7. 5k,7k,3k respectively for the diffs and 55 front 45 rear for the dampers.

      Ok, mines a H7 BL conversion too. Guess that's 3k in the rear? I'm changing shock oil again now and going for 50wt F & R and tune from there. Christ knows what was in there before, looked like previous owner had used castrol gtx!

      Yea 3k in the rear diff. From the reading I did 5-7-3 is a good starting point. The dampers on mine had what smelled like brake fluid and were just under half full! Previous owner syndrome strikes again lol

    Two out of three parts for my brushless Hyper 7 have arrived now, just waiting for the ESC. Hehehehe getting excited now :)

    Im sure my baja hates me lol. Ive used it three times this week and this is what it has broken up to today

    steel spur and pinion destroyed

    snapped the end off clutch bell

    clutch bearings fell apart

    Etronix transmitter gives up the ghost on me

    rear shock got stuck in fully compressed position which caused car to roll and snap spark plug

     

    Its also becoming hard to start when cold for no reason at all. God talk about high maintenance lol

      I seen the grab handel after I posted in ur sig pic..:doh:..musts been a big whack....I was gonna go meatl spur but imo u need a weak link in the chain.....and if the gt3 rx takes a whack it`ll loose range.....there very delicate apparently....or it could b interference....

      to be honest the gt3 played up from the day it was delivered, as did my uncles baja with the same radio gear. Both in exactly the same place though oddly enough.

    Waiting on Baja parts and no postal deliveries for three days now. Not just my house but no houses on my street have had any and no one has seen any posties on their round. Are they no stroike or summat lol?

      Welcome to the new royal snail. If there is low volume of post they will not deliver for up to 3 days, busy times they deliver 7 days a week. Never experienced the second bit but holding of post is regular for us.

      Disgraceful it was the dumbest thing cameron allowed and there's a long list of dumb.  They under valued the company by billions according to chase bank. I think it's chase or one of the top teir banks. Goldman sachs mayb.

    Some light fingered person at Arnold Clark has swapped by nice brake fluid cap for a battered one when it was in for MOT. Got pictures of the old one and it is not the one that is on my car now. Not happy is an understatement

      The cap that was on it was a standard but mint one. The one I have now looks like someone has driven over it. They shouldnt have had the cap off anyway as it was only in for MOT and oil change.

    Hard disc failed big time today. Lost over 100gb of hardcore rave sets that I have been collecting for the last eight years or so. Hundreds of hours of tape ripping and downloading and web searching gone forever. Gutted :(

      I back ALL my stuff up once a month onto a separate HDD that way I know 100% Of my stuff is saved :)

    Is it me or is there an epidemic of cars on the road with badly adjusted headlamps? Evertime I go out i seem to get blinded by oncoming cars

      YEAH, I was saying same thing to my woman haha always blinding me with a headlamp pointing upwards in one of my 3 mirrors :( really pizzes me off I even stopped at lights and got out to tell the guy :-/

      a mate of mine has just fitted some cheap and what seem to be stupidly bright HIDs to his car. I cartainly wouldnt want to be in front of it for any length of time.

      I know what you mean but at least they put them on. Amount of people i see driving with no lights on is rediculous.
