    my brother in law has just asked which budget 2-3s lipo charger do you all suggest? all he will be using is a single 2s or maybe 3s in the future.

      I use a Sky RC E680, does the job for 2-4s packs, and would in theory be OK for small capacity 6S packs should he ever need that option in the future.  Exact same charger as the Overlander RC6 I believe , and probably many other similar spec 4 button chargers.  Circa 40 quid.
