  1. Tamiya are pretty lazy when it comes to designing things and reuse is always very common however this is plain lazy - Just use a shorter screw!
  2. I saw this the other day, it's crazy how far these drones have come in the past 15 years.
  3. Has anyone tried community WiFi? Virgin media want to up our bill to £52 a month however community WiFi is offering gigabit speeds for £32.

so they knocked another £20 off to keep you so win win :good:

  4. The Highlands were stunning and we're planning to return in September/ October to do more of the North. Edinburgh was just like a smaller London with a little bit more vomit and terrible roads with endless roadworks. We didn't overly enjoy Edinburgh however the first part of the trip more than made up for it.
  5. This isn't my picture however a good livery and this body looks good -
  6. Usually the reason for chewing up spur gears is due to a poor gear mesh. If you are melting slipper pads then something is wrong. Upload a photo of the issue.
  7. I'm not OCD or anything but... Printing this to drop straight in (including the radius at the bottom) is very satisfying! I could of done an extra top layer to make it slightly cleaner.

    Traxxas Maxx Slash

Don't tell traxxas, they'll set their lawyers on you!
  9. Surely you need the hazard lights for when the land rover inevitably breaks down?
  10. We did the A82 from Inverness then veered off to Stirling and Edinburgh just before Glasgow. Two days were for for Highlands and then the final two were in Edinburgh.
  11. The motor is ok, I didn't like the ESC due to traxxas forcing you to use there batteries, the stock servo is also know for being pretty rubbish and prone to striping gears.
  12. Having a few days away in Scotland ment a few goodies were waiting me... A few top up parts a some bits for the soon to be released XM-01.
  13. There's an unlimited number of upgrades plus of you wanted a rock racer style RC then you've got options. Personally I'd build from scratch as in the long run you'll save a good amount of money.
  14. They don't even bother posting body off pictures anymore when they re re re re re re re re release the 2wd slash!
  15. Sadly the HPI 2010ish is no more 😞 They've released a few new budget models and one or two on road/ rally cars over the last few years but nothing like what they use to sell. It's a massive shame as their old stuff was pretty good. I've got no idea why they declined.
  16. Are there any big US RC shops who will ship to the UK anymore?

  17. Have you tried striping it down? A good clean might get it moving again.
  18. A few nuts and bolts - There's 1350 pieces here to keep me going for a while. On average each item cost £0.03 which is wayyyyy cheaper than buying from eBay or your LHS.
  19. At long last we're back in the game - Bulk season has hit my TRX4M hard and we're now weighing it at 675g with the additional brass wheel weights. The CNC front axels are very nice and definitely on the cards for the rear. The 1080g2 has been pinched from this build for my up coming rally build so ended up going back to a 1060. How many traxxas parts do I still need to have in order to still refer to this as a Traxxas TRX4M as there aren't many original traxxas parts left!
  20. That looks pretty tidy, with the cost of cartridges skyrocketing I'm trying to get into air rifles as I've got free access to a range. Do you know if he prints everything in PLA or uses a stronger filament?
  21. How good are his stocks, I've been thinking about getting one for my little CP2
  22. This also sums them up as well, when I asked for a refund for the laydown mount I also asked for them to cover the cost of the axel (they blanked that part so thought nothing of it) randomly this showed up late last week... I was over the moon that they'd posted a metal axel housing out, so cracked on fitting it only to find out it was for the 4mm+ axels. They don't even know what their sending out 🤣 It just summed the whole situation up really. It's FOC to anyone who wants it as it's no good to me .
  23. Injora are great at releasing lot of products at a very affordable price however they sum up Chinese companies very well, they lack consistent quality assurance. I've had my own issues with injora products not working with both Traxxas parts and Injoras own parts and read of dozens of other (mainly around things not going together correctly or binding). Injoras strategy is to flood the market with their products however now that their product range is growing people are finding these compatibility issues. I think traxxas as a company isn't the best however I know I could order any traxxas upgrade and it would just work, sadly the same can't be said for injora.
