  1. not bad mamodman full of chest infection i cannot shift, been busy over on another scooter tuning forum helping folks derestrict and tune up scooters , also fixing my own scoot up again , had my lowbeam light fail and die leaving me with just park light and high beam , not exactly great for riding round with lol those boys in blue would be on me like a lion to a zebra .
  2. Went to go out, do the usual lamp checks as you do and find the low beam is out. tear down pedro the scooter, replace the what looks like still working headlamp bulb ( all filaments intact ), put it all back together start up bike , hit the lamp switch ..... sidelights are fine and working - low beam still does not work - hi beam working as should do . so im getting power to the main lamps sidelights switch and power to the dip-hi beam switch but theres no low beam at all , not even a flicker... kinda stumped as i went through all connectors to. weird thing .... service manual for jet 50 - jet 100 - jet eurox , i should have a headlamp fuse also a headlamp relay and a headlamp controller, but pedro has none of these fitted and is stated on v5 as a eurox . cant be my stator otherwise hi beam would not light up ( pedro runs an ac feed light system lights only on when motors running ), worse part theres a two week wait to get bike to an auto electritain
  3. Just for you guys : note lego must be sealed to stop leaching from the plastics used. krylon and the likes clear sealer with UV protection could be ideal.
  4. possible the gun unit has failed. i have the henglong walker bulldog and it to has a faulty gun system, builds up sound wise then no pellet release. i ahvent stripped down the tank to get to the source but i would say its the cheap plastic gearing inside thats causing the fault. they did sell replacement gun units on ebay at one time
  5. Yes i rode to a supermarket to test a new camera setup on a new helmet mount setup. ready for motovloging . its not just me that has done this other motovloggers have recorded themselves going to get a slurpy / mcdonalds-taco etc etc. i hope to record some better footage of the norfolk countryside and views. other riders have just recorded themselves riding round mumbling about all sundery.
  6. Left lane is for A47 , the right lane is for the industrial / shopping estate , if you sit in the right lane then try to turn left to the A47 you end up waiting for months as drivers wont give way to you, so if your going to the shopping estate/ industrial estate you keep to the right lane leaving the left clear. yes helmet cam is great its like a dash cam for riders keeps us covered if something does happen its all on video for insurance/police/emergency services. i have had a few close calls where drivers have just cut me up or decided they will pull out on me on roundabouts without even looking , then shrugging shoulders when your on the horn feet from smacking there motor and they are likes " eh what ". Also the number of folks i pass playing with there phones - reading a book and one lady doing her makeup , stupidity at its best
  7. first off my kit : spada intrepid dual sport helmet with peak camera mount camera is a KitVision Hd5 720p Boots are spada SP1 jacket is a Spada textile armour jacket gloves are summer/winter shorties Bovlov BT intercom set Scooter is a 50cc sym jet eurox / basix So this is my first ever motovlog like trip, its a short one to satisfy my sausage roll addiction , so yeah you guessed it, the trip is to a local supermarket to grab a couple packs of sausage rolls , and stretch the legs of the scooter some what. No comentery as yet as i have to hack mod the camera to have a mic jack and i need to grab a boom mic for the hat ( already have an intercom boom mic installed to)
  8. if your wanting the ultimate and have like 17k to shed out HP4 = a baslistic widow maker thats going to see you sat in a few custody suites lol S1000rr = a widowmaker thats gonna also see you sat in a few custody suites , maybe a few extra points on the licence ( more than 12) and is just totally awesome. some of these new bikes are just super crazy the technology has come on so far from the mid 80's late 90's .
  9. 400cc upwards will be happy to sit at 60-70mph all day long no worries. a 125cc wont be happy sitting at 60mph all day long they have a maxed out speed of around 60-70mph pushing it hard. an rd125cc is going to push near 90mph but your flat out and again thats hard on the motor crank and piston, not ideal. if your not bothered about a full on 1000cc monster leader bike, something like a 300 ninja. or even a xmax 400cc scooter, and run the A2 restricted full licence, the restriction is set to 46hp and theres a lotta bikes that can be restricted to this limit or are near on this limit. you can still hit motorways and likes its just the bigger more powerful leader bikes are not in your sights licence wise
  10. the tarot gimbal has a rail clamp system but you do not have to use it. just unscrew the rail mount clips from the upper plate on the gimbal, source some fixing bolts and mount it to the bottom slots on your 450 frame so the tarot gimbal top playe you would set some bolts into it then slip these into the lsots on the bottom of your 450 frame and secure with nuts ( plastic nuts n bolts would do. the gimbal has two upper plates the very top one can be used to fix the bimbal to the quads lower deck plate, the second plate on the gimbal is there with rubber bushing to act as a dampener
  11. got to get booked into the docs, finding it painful to just grip the bars now, hands are super cold all the time and cold enough they hurt. also had my medical assessment date, so it looks like i may even have to sell the scooter. if i loose my support allowance i am unable to keep ontop of repairs, insurance and cbt renewal , i loose around £65 . been trying to find a job its a nightmare, nobody will touch me when they find out i have ischemic heart disease to, and the reason comes down to im unable to do most of the work, ie lifting and standing/sitting for long periods. if i loose the allowance im going to sell up and just grab a knackered project i can work on, hopefully get it back to road worthyness and sell on to make some extra pennys. been looking at CAT-C write offs as they could be maybe put back to the road once fixed up.
  12. Roads are like a skid pan , cant wait for the summer heat to come back and burn out the crud sitting on the road surfaces. the LED light bar got held back on install, its been mustered into use as a emergency light for the toilet, the fitting has blown out again ( second in a year ) and theres a week waiting list. Mind you @1360 lumens its like daylight when you turn that sucker on lol.
  13. 1983 Maico 490 mx bike ( vintage mx race days) 1978 Honda CR 125 Elsinore ( vintage mx race days ) 1953 Vincent Black Shadow ( daily show off im cool bike ) 1960 Vespa VBA 150 ( mega chick magnet ) Modern day : kawasaki 636 ( track bike ) GSX-R 125 ( 2017, with a two stroke RM 125cc engine conversion (i hate fourstrokers ) ( show off to the 17yr olds ) 2000 piaggio Zip SP 172 malossi ( scooter race days ) 2004 Yamaha Aerox 70cc R/T ( general hoonigan ride when im bored of the chick magnet and the im cool bike )
  14. dont worry tony, being stealth fitted under the front fork yolk inside the front panel and about 2ft of the ground with a max light throw of 40ft forwards. know the feeling well, i get blinded plenty by drivers keeping there daylight running lights on at night with main leds and wiping out my sight compleatly , or the glare in mirror is so much you have to lean over front end to stop being blinded . mine are more for seeing infront of me as my stupid 35w headlamps are useless, can see more with just pure moonlight than my main beam or high beam lol. my accent lamps are going behind clear lenses that im going to be puckering out with dremmel to give them a frosted look and stop glare out.
  15. He came with a 6" 6x cree 18w @ 1360 lumen light bar to fit onto/into the front end of the scooter, so i can see the next corner and whats infront of me down those dark country lanes i ride just need to beef up the stator with more coils, or add a bigger amped battery , and order some little 1.5" eagle eye accent lamps. had two drivers pull out on me and two very very close calls with Tboning the sides of them motors. if im glowing like an xmas tree they cant say they didnt see me.
  16. Gave up on a chinese cub, most bike shops round here will not tock a chinese - korean - tiwaniese scooter. been looking at a project scooter to tinker with and have three choices. Yamaha Aerox with a sport street 70cc iron kit ( good for commuting and daily running. (Highly popular bike so gonna command a high insurance permium and expensive on parts side) Piaggio Zip SP but going with a 172cc motor conversion , quick as hell but stylish in a small compact frame design. ( older the model the better but not so wanted as the likes of an aerox, would be either a fourstroke or a twostroke conversion ) Yamaha Neos aka Neorox , this would be the same as the aerox but a twist to the front paneling, you take a aerox front end and glass it onto the neos front end, again a street sports kit for all round wear and tear running with a small gear up kit so you have motorway'ish speeds. (same motor as an aerox just a little less powerful but a more refined slim like non sporty body style) MBK also done an ovette a direct copy of the neos with the yamaha parts a direct bolt on fit. Pedro is running well abide loosing 10mph of the top speed, i blew a hole in the old sport pipe and fitted a new technigas trek pipe, i also upgraded the carb to a 17.5mm and rejetted to 81 main jet and a 60 choke jet. sadly what was meant to be a bolt on replacement was not true and a whole new throttle arrangement had to be made up to the carb so it all worked. need to repalce the rubber boots as i have side wall cracking so looking at some continetal 360 tires or some hedeanu K66 - k58 tires ( all weather 4 season boots) every time i wash poor old pedro the sym jet the rattle can paint job just comes off, so summer time its a full prep on panels and a satin black spray, but accenting with some white ( so its not all fully stealth and cagers can see me coming ), looking to save a good few pennys and sit my A2 licence ( restricted 47hp ) so i can if i go with the zip project ride it on uk roads , some scooters are under the 47hp limit but im not a fan of the looks and you tend to buy/ride bikes you like. weathers blooming horrid nearly fishtailed a couple times due to derv on roads been lucky i leg lead and was able to semi drift a scooter to a safe stop. hope to add a slightly larger tire to the scooter for extra wheel roll out ( little extra speed but also a higher sidewall ) and possible a little wider contact patch
  17. i fragged out my razor lycosa keyboard , replaced it with a Corsair K30 also burnt out the logitech G3 mouse replaced that with a Corsair Katar wired mouse. i run 4gb ram in a dual config giving me 8gb, but my games got updated and now need at the very least 1.5gb video ram, so i either have to upgrade the poor old HD7770 OC ghz card or just stop playing most games, cant buy fallout 4 - the divison and numerous others due to lack of video memory
  18. awesome to see you big man. you need to just rest up and let time start to heal you. followed the updates here and via BHP on facebook. keep strong and let time work its wonders , and the icing on the cake is your back with us buddy, had us all worried for a while , but being the ol stong ox you are well enough said. Mcnuggets eh and 20 in a sitting tut tut , mind you i have been a bit naughty on the old mini sausage rolls lol , keep up the physio and hope to see you up and about soon fella .
  19. installed played got no more credits lol , now driving round looking for bollards to boost cash up i need more POWER !!!! cant post screenies from phone, but i took the 22,500 cheapy wagon and just boosted the shocks , and gave it a nice burn orange spray job, otherwise its stock motor

  23. turn down the travel rates on handset . let him fly indoors only for time being, winter has adverse weather patterns so gusts just come from no where. he will have more control in a non weather enviroment and a few bumps and crashes will not be to bad. teach him ground effect flying first. have him hover close to the ground the wind sheer rebound will have the quad starting to drift slide, with rates low he has to add more input to get the same effect as is the rate were at 100% , it gives the controls a slugish feel ( ideal for the young man ) play the kangaroo game , a selection of books placed around the floor, pilot takes off from one book and kangaroo hops to a second book, then a third - fourth and so on. this gives him throttle control, knowing how much to add and when and also how little and when to get a soft land. dad can also partake but dad will need to act noobish missing some of the landing spots, if you miss a spot the next pilot takes over re-sets the quad and trys to beat the firsts try. when all points are landed the pilot who done them all does a field run, he scoots round the course without landing as a winner would a race track. next is turning ability (yaw not roll) pilot has to take off fly to a second pad and land facing himself then he has to fly back with quad facing him ( reversed controls left is right and right is left ) ythis teaches reversal of the controls so he naturaly starts to input the opposite ( takes a while but again dad can act noobish and partake) if the young man feels he is better than dad he starts to build more confidence in his flying. Once summer comes , early mornings and early evenings are the most calm times very little wind so out into the garden and play the landing pad game this time you can use swings and like in garden as obsticals to avoid or fly between , it hones his spacial awareness skills , color the front of the drone a bright colour and the rear a dull colour to help with knowing what way the drone faces this simple colour flip helps learn him direction of travel control. red props means quads nose, white props means quads tail . mix it up, if he is having a bad day flying pop out with the buggys , take his mind of the bad flying day and try another day, never try to rush him into learning to fly let him chose when and if you think he is becoming frustrated call a stop and do something less concentration required.
  24. Tonka dump truck lol, i used to ride mine down the woodland hills it was un-break'able . action man 4w tank , yeah that to got the woodland ride on treatment and it still lived, sadly action man didnt stand up to the land mine. he lost a leg and a foot in the blast. two firework bangers burried under a small bit of dirt. mine you he did stand upto the large logs getting thrown at him when he failed to steer clear of the tree in his parachute gear setup lol. godsons, one got some cash to help with his driving lessons, the other got a bottle of southern comfort, there mum got a bottle of southern comfort to. am done with shopping. loaded the freezer with 16 pork pies and 16 scotch eggs ( nom nom nom ) , got myself a new exhaust and a new larger bore carb for the little scooter. dumped the spray job candy orange idea, just going to flash it over with a satin black and satin topcoat ( no need to inform gov of a colour change ). saving pennys for a Late christmas prezzie for myself, gonna take a few months or so, but i want to upgrade to a honda cub ( mid life crisis ..... no just old school love triangle lol )
  25. yeah im still stuck in the old ages lol , my first choice would have been throwing on a 60t or even 80t ( yep slower wheel speed but then crawlers aint meant to be 30mph racers lol ) maybe decamp that front and rear axle set, see how the gearing looks and if theres any freeplay you can shim out a bit, maybe give a little kick of life without a full on electrics revamp , having those gears nice and close will take out backlash maybe make better use of the torque you already have ?
