  1. Greetings, i found a Carisma GT24i20 edition in some of my Country's hobby shops but i cant find it in the official Carisma site. Do you know why? Is it discontinued?? This is the car i'm talking about!
  2. Well, i found a second hand sprint 2 (stock brushed electrics) for 100 Euros with 2 bodies in excellent contition. I think it was a good deal to refuse. Maybe the belt is good after all. Thanks again for your help!
  3. I checked about this chassis(tt-02), its very popular but seems to need some $$ to be acceptable. Plastic diffs, no ball bearings, plastic shaft! And my friend keeps telling about sprint 2, i''m now started thinking if this is the right choice! Let's say i accept ta belt driven chassis, is this way better for my needs? What i want is casual drifting, not in dedicated track, and a bit of touring with the right settings and tweaks.
  4. Greetings to all! A little background, first of all i am an off road guy. i had no interest in on road rc, until recently a friend of mine brought his HPI sprint 2 with him and started drifting all over the parking lot. Now i think i'm kinda hooked. I want one. So i did my research and i am between 2 models. First, i want to make clear that i dont want a competition level rc, since on road is not my type and of course we dont have a track for this kind of playing. We will play on tarmac and in parking lots..Just to make fun. So i dont want to to invest heavily. Second, for some reason i'm not fancy at all with belt driven rc's. So now i am between 1. Maverick Strada DC 2. HPI RS4 Sport 3 I know both cars are entry lvl, and i believe that the HPI has better quality and better parts support. That beeing said the Strada is about 100€ cheaper, has tons of cheap alloy hop ups (HSP, HIMOTO) and has (as a hop up) one way diff, witch is essential as my friend says, On the other hand, HPI is more expensive, has zero adjustability until you start upgrading and the hop ups are way more expensive. And it doesn't have one way diff as a hop up. But its HPI and not a chinese brand! Both rc parts will be ordered online since none of my LHS supports them. So please give me your opinions on this on this one, for both causal drifting and touring play! Thanks a lot!
  5. Well, my LHS stocks Kyosho so i'm looking for Kyosho options. First option is Dirt Hog at about 200 euro and then there is a second hand zx-5 wich of course is a competition buggy and i can find it at about 200 euro too (electronics included) So, any thought on theese too? I know that they are on different leauge, one is rtr, the other is competition buggy with much better quality...but a very old platform too! Whatever buggy i choose will be for bashing only! What concernes me about the zx5 is that is too old to invest with upgrades since the new zx6 is based on a different platform and i dont know how many parts will cross fit!
  6. well..thanks for the replies..... I never thought of getting a Tamiya...i know its a well known RC compay with many many years in the industry but none of my friends here ever had a tamiya product. That of course doesn't mean that they are not good. I did like this https://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-neo-scorcher-buggy-tt-02b-/rc-car-products/376210 better than the dual ridge, just better looks if you ask me. But they are the same platform (TT02B) , which seems very decent for the money and with good upgradability potential. Lots of hop up parts from 3d party companies too. As far as the df02 (and the new df03) platform, ...well i'll pass, for some reason i dont like it. What is your opinion about Tamiya generally, part support etc. Do you know anything about the TT02B platform, should i spend money on it or its way too "beginner" plaftform to invest (brushless system, hop ups)
  7. Greetings, i would like some advice for a purchase i want to make... I would like to buy a 4wd 1/10 buggy for some "easy" bashing. I use most 1/8 monster-truggy for bashing but i would like a smaller rc that can fit in a backpack..something like a "take anywhere" RC. I ended up that 1/10 scale is the best for my needs. I dont want anything smaller (1/16-1/18). The things i want for this buggy would be 1. Parts availability 2. Good Selection of hop-ups 3. something that will last for some time cause i 'm planning to spend some $$ on upgrades I did some research and i found theese: FTX Vantage https://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-vantage-1-10-4wd-brushed-buggy-2-4ghz-waterproof/rc-car-products/379131 It has good selection of hop ups, cheap parts, but as far as i know FTX re-brands chinese RC's, i read mixed feelings about this in rc forums. ABSIMA HOTSHOT Buggy http://shop.absima.com/ABSIMA-TEAM-C-RC-Cars/ABSIMA/1-10-EP-Buggy-AB2-4-4WD-RTR.htm?shop=absima_en&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=12205&t=3&c=11638&p=11638 I cant find much information about this buggy..i know that Absima is a German brand...and it has some hop ups but not as many as FTX I dont mind buying a brushed one since i plan to upgrade to brushless later...i'll be using 2s lipos i already have. I want to keep price relatively low cause this will not be my main bashing RC. Never had 1/10 but i undersand its limits as fas as "bashing" machine. Can you give some recomendation between those..or any other that comes in mind. P.S. Sorry for any bad english, not my native language.
  8. First of all, i want to thank you for helping me out. Well the tarot gimbal i linked seems to have a center motor that is above the top plate, so how i could fit the top plate directly to the drone's bottom plate without using the rail mounts?
  9. Bringing back an old thread of mine as i need some more help. Now i want to add a gimbal in my f450 clone. I see good recomendations on this Tarot http://www.banggood.com/Tarot-GOPRO-3D-Metal-CNC-3-Axis-Brushless-Gimbal-PTZ-for-GOPRO-4-3-3-FPV-Quadcopter-TL3T01-p-1044458.html?rmmds=search and on this Walkera http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walkera-G-3D-Brushless-Gimbal-Anzug-fur-Quadcopter-iLook-iLook-Gorpo-3-3-P1K3-/182197444945?hash=item2a6bd06151:g:HzsAAOSwgY9XfIPQ Any help of which one to choose is welcome. My problem is how to mount them to my f450, do i need to buy any mounting adaptors? I see that the tarot one mounts on some mount rails. It s a bit confusing. Is there any special adaptor or should i find my way around on how to do it? Here are some pics of the botton plate of my drone. i also have detached the landing legs.
  10. I broke some times my shock towers but they are really cheap. Another thing i break a lot is the steering rods, and of course the shock cups that pop out. Its not that i m sick of breaking parts, this is a part of the hobby too, no worries, what i'm worry about is that is it worth to upgrade the car and keep it going, or its getting old and i i may start having part availability issues?
  11. Greetings to community, I have an MGT 8.0 which i like very much, i have converted it to brushless and this thing is beast. But now i brake parts more easily and i'm considering for some hop-ups. Its pretty stock except being brushless off course. I want to make it kinda bulletproof (rpm parts), alloy shock towers, alloy shocks etc, but my main concern is if its worth it to drop money on a platform that is been discontinued. As far as i know Thunder Tiger (mta4) does not produce it any more and Team Associated offers it as Rival only, but i dont know for how long. (electric version of MGT with some minor differences (longer chassis) ). Do you think this platform is too old to drop some money on it, do you think it will stay for a long time so its worth considering buying hop ups or should i look for something else. I dont want to end up with something that will lack parts availability. Any opinion is welcome!
  12. ok, i'll try my 2x2s (as 4s) lipos, could you plz tell me the recommended low voltage cut settings on naza assistance software for 4s?
  13. thank you very much for the direct answer, that's answer i was looking for. That now leads me to my next question. I have 2 x 2s 6000mah 45c batteries, 210g each. Could i use them (4s) with 8" props? Or i should buy a new 3s lipo and try 10" props. i want smooth flying for aerial videography, not sport flying. That means a gimbal and a gopro in the overall weight (which i dont have atm but planning to buy). I mean, i'm trying to figure out which is the best combination for smooth flying and flying time, 3s with 10" pros or 4s with 8" props. Or some other combination. Sorry for any bad English, not my native language.
  14. Greetings, i just got a f450 second hand. It came with 4s battery and 1045 props with a2212 1000kv motors . After reading a lot i decided to change to 8045 props as the plane has no load except from the landing skids. Anyway, after a crash i had to dispose the lipo. I must say that even if the copter could fly really quick if you wanted to, it flied smooth enough. Now i have 2 2s 6000mah from my rc car and i am wondering if i could fly this thing with single 2s battery and 10" props. I checked the esc specs and its 2-4s compatible. P.S. More questions will follow ()
  15. i changed the fan and now works ok. Dimensions are 30x30x10mm 5v if the same happens to anyone else.
