  1. At no point did I say that you don’t know better. Clearly you seem to think you do but oh well. Since you actually are making things up to try and justify being an absolute douche what I did was agree with someone else that wasn’t keen on truggies, said I personally prefer MT’s and buggies but in the absence of a buggy I can see why people like truggies. No mention of you and no reference to anything you said. You got offended over nothing offensive. Best go careful, you might melt.
  2. Actually you decided to incorrectly correct kpowell stating your opinion as fact and then I corrected your opinion. You probably should go check some other chargers if you care that much, deans is not the norm at all. Many newer chargers in fact come with no leads and built in xt60 connectors or some random connector leads often including deans. It’s not 10+ years ago anymore. As a sidenote there’s only one of us here that gets hung up on and offended by other peoples single sentences (you didn’t try to correct guns single sentence “that doesn’t matter at all to the problem” no?) only this time you respond to me with actual name calling 🤦🏼‍♂️ I’m all for friendly conversation, you took offence to my preference of buggies to truggies and here we are - you have decided we can’t have a pleasant conversation and so…I guess not.
  3. Actually the usual process is totally random output options and often even no cables at all. As has been asked, what charger is it @Grogg? Actually actually actually 🤦🏼‍♂️
  4. Only reasons I can think of could be that out of the car you are pulling it softer or that your clutch setup is dragging so when in the car - you just replied - sounds more like the clutch has issues then if the flywheel doesn’t turn. That however would make the car try to move forwards when the pull start does bite. So yeah, check the clutch. Failing that your one way bearing would usually be the cause. You can clean it out with some nitro fuel (pop it in a little pot with some fuel and juggle it) this used to get a little more use out of them iirc but would only be a temporary solution.
  5. Fairly sure it’s on all orders now @BigGinge slightly annoying as it puts the prices up but things are still cheap enough most of the time. Banggood is another option though and they have a uk warehouse. I don’t think they deal with the tax on import goods so that’s still down to luck 😉
  6. I much prefer the AliExpress app, I’ve been shopping there for more years than I can remember. In regards to tax they now add on the 20%~ at checkout to cover it so you should never receive a customs bill when shopping there.
  7. Maybe change the thread title to “What rc do you think everyone should own at least once in their rc adventure” @RC4WD fan lots of mistaken intentions happening recently 🤦🏼‍♂️
  8. 🥱🥱 reread my post objectively made me giggle so thanks for that…maybe I could have worded it slightly better to stop grumpy people being offended but everyone else in the world knows what I meant so never mind. The only unsolicited advice I’ve offered you is stick to crawlers, you’re the one that started all the unpleasant nonsense and getting personal so? Am I supposed to start shouting and swearing or something?
  9. Yeah my I’ve had my hyper 7 for like 20 years now except for a few months where I sold it off as nitro and bought it back to convert 😄
  10. Nitro savage gets my vote as well….owning and upgrading one of those is an experience all of its very own that I miss but at the same time totally don’t miss at all. I think that maybe everyone that was into rc back when nitro was dominant had also owned one or more - hyper 7, hyper st or the old lightning buggy/truggy (2rr and lsp?) at some point.
  11. My point was actually that I can see why people like truggies but personally I prefer buggies. So…. Your experience of owning and then selling on loads of boring buggies and one infuriating bendy truggy? Yep. Good one. I’ve owned more truggies than buggies myself. Feel free to be offended by and go on another unnecessary rant in regards to this post as well though. Oh and because I mostly post stuff just for conversation or to be helpful unlike some you probably shouldn’t get the outcast 8s either. Similar problems to the 6s - everybody knows this by simply doing the tiniest bit of research whereas the traxxas are fairly robust out of the box of course. Dbxl…yeah, it’s not as bashable as an xmaxx well done. But of course you don’t like your xmaxx either. Or the felony you had or the infraction you have somewhere and don’t use. Maybe just sell the xmaxx and stick to crawlers no?
  12. 3 buggies and something without wheels 😂😂
  13. Mines on 20/50 on the stock motor and i'm happy enough with it. I think my wheels are slightly bigger than stock though but they barely balloon so probably fairly similar. Not sure what more I'd want out of it really but I do run in smallish areas so I'm not just hooning round a field.
  14. I'm the same tbh but as a rule I always have a MT and a buggy in my collection. I enjoy the "i'm totally gonna traction roll any second now" nature of mt's and as you say the speed and stability of a buggy so the few truggies I've had never really excited me. With the absence of a buggy though I can see why people like them.
  15. @froggy8 Well yeah but you know 😄
  16. You’ve got a whole rc going back under warranty rather than them just sending you parts?
  17. So what’s the actual issue I think I missed something. Too much power now? Easily solved surely with transmitter settings once you have some suitable “runs all day without overheating” gearing sorted assuming your tx has throttle curve and endpoint settings that is.
  18. Yeah it’ll work but I would definitely consider the ol’ chop and solder. Deans are probably the easiest of all connectors to solder and are way more efficient than crappy tamiya connectors 👍🏻
  19. Always liked the looks of the Arrmas tbh and the outcast in particular could just never justify xmaxx money for a 1/8. This one though is a lot cheaper and should hopefully just need a lower chassis brace to be fairly me proof which is nice 😁 Oh and yeah just up the road a bit. Anywhere super awesome to bash about up that way? Nowhere really down here although there are a couple of pump tracks that will being investigated very soon.
  20. My first brand spanker that isn’t micro or a drone for like 20 years 🫢
  21. @m4inbrain personally I just use plumbing flux paste, this stuff to be precise. Usually apply it with a cocktail stick or cotton bud or just dip the wires in it etc. etc. still on my first tub and I’ve had it for years now. As for where to run rc’s @Kapila - anywhere open to the public really. Streets and car parks of course work but don’t do off road tires any favours. Any public grassland is generally fair game. Public pump/bmx/mtb tracks and skate parks are usually all good. Golf courses can be fun. Woodlands can be fun. You just have to use common sense really. Don’t go hooning on a golf course tearing up the fairway as you go but out of hours in summer where you won’t do any damage? Sure. Anywhere with bikes….let them play too (on their bikes, not with your toys) I usually just try to claim a small area at a time and then everyone can play at the same time. Most people that go to these places are easily impressed….get some air and they’ll be your best friends 😂 Highly recommended though is that you buy some of those plastic kiddy skateboard ramps (we all know the ones, they can often be had for cheap from Facebook) and potentially some of those sports marker cones as they can turn even the most boring flat area into a decent bash spot 👍🏻
  22. Where’s this I’m tempted to go there for a bash? lol Also you’d think they’d appreciate the removal of the dangerous gravel from the track 🤦🏼‍♂️😂
  23. Yeah it was the s on washers I was getting at. They are just there to stop the clutch bell moving backwards and forwards. Try with 1 or none if 2 is still binding it up.
  24. Washers you say? I would remove one/some until it frees up 👍🏻
  25. In its simplest form - mah decides runtime - voltage decides speed - c rating decides if the batteries can give out the energy fast enough. When those things are equal then li ion basically = lipo 👍🏻
