  1. Well not exactly model based but lipo based, got these lovely lipos delivered today and then immediately cut the plugs off and soldered on xt90, these ones were on special but the xt90 ones werent so saved myself around £60, £50 i suppose if you count the new connectors, also changed all the rest of my 3s lipos to xt90 except for the traxxas ones
  2. The other reason they come slack is the pinions aren't held right up against the bearing on the inside when the cup is put on and tightened on the outside so there isint any forward and back movement, only result i have had with mine was doing this before the diff itself is put in
  3. I am on here daily having a read of stuff and posting when i feel a need too
  4. If you modified the boat to have a perspex panel at the bottom under the waterline and mounted the camera airside looking down would that not accomplish what your wanting to do?
  5. Apex models, i wonder whatever happened to them
  6. After reading lockys post i need to explain mine a bit better as now that i reread it i am not explaining myself, when i am talking about a sealed box i am meaning something thats not going to let water get all over the batteries, like 1 of those garden storage boxes this kinda thing https://www.diy.com/departments/keter-hollywood-anthracite-270l-garden-storage-box-537mm-1180mm/1685256_BQ.prd?storeId=1227
  7. I have always thought redcat stuff to be of good quality and have always been surprised that its not readily stocked in the uk, i have toyed with the idea of becoming an importer and reseller of redcat in the uk and give up my current job but have never done anything about it though, always scared it would be a failure after all like all other folks i have bills to pay
  8. The way i see it then your only option is to have an airtight box of some description to store them in thats somewhere sheltered and then the night before you take your car out you take some batteries out of the box and take them inside to reach room temperature
  9. I store mine inside in an ammo case this time of year, i destroyed some lipos last year storing them out in my workshop and then just sticking them in my car and then blasting about, since they were stone cold and then asking them to perform destroyed a cell in a couple of them
  10. Personally i have never even worried about it and have submerged lights in the past with no ill effects
  11. The associated mt10 is said to be a very good beginner car, i think i would pick that over them 2, reasons are in recent years hpi parts are arent so readily available and that maverick is in the same boat to a degree, not much in the way of aftermarket parts and their kinda weak
  12. Banned cause sausages are both flat and round at the same time
  13. as folks have said above a 6v led bulb on 6v will be really bright. Yes you would just plug the connector into ch3, the connector will most likely only have 2 wires so just connect the same as the other 2 red and black ones, the white wire is the signal wire fyi but hey if you want to run lipo voltage you do that its your model after all
  14. Follow this link and have a look at the exploded diagrams https://www.hpiracing.com/assets/documents/maverick/instructions/maverick_quantumrx_4s_manual_v2_04012023_web.pdf
  15. Undo the screws and its inside that plastic box
  16. Normally when you fit a light kit it is rated for 6v and usually you would plug it into a port on the receiver and that will make it turn on and off when you turn the esc on and off, on a maverick the receiver is in that black plastic box in front of your esc
  17. Heres hoping, 1 things for sure it certainly cant make it any worse!
  18. Scorched rc have just released inner mud guards for the lcg clipless slash, so had to get a set, got them cut out and installed tonight, i am very plessed with the end result and they also fit with a proline body as this was something there was no info on
  19. I keep mine in my workshop/garage, this time of year after i have had them out and hosed them down i bring them into the house overnight and leave them on the floor in the kitchen by the radiator to minimise drying time so stuff doesnt rust, i keep all my batteries in an ammo box in the study so they dont get too cold
  20. An inner fender set for the traxxas slash ultimate with the clipless system, am so looking forward to getting it fitted
  21. Taken earlier this evening from my back garden, scotch mist at its finest
  22. I was thinking a 3s system, maybe i may look at a 4
