Bless you big man, shone bright for us all RIP Maxi Jazz
-
Well that was a hectic few months, what have I missed? (and if it costs money I'm out!)
-
Nothing i can think of but traxxas patent stuff and barring exports to uk. Amain and rc mart so far i know of wont ship traxxas products over. Unless its reversed which it should be.
Tamiya emailed shops barring them from putting tamiya kits on special offer. Saying it diminishes the brand. Funniest thing ive heard from an rc brand. After traxxas.

Moving day today so already been for a cheeky Sunrise paddle to clear the head, then go sign the papers. Might need to think about some furniture I suppose!

Blue skies and the Sea like a mill pond..... It's paddling and beach bacon time!
-
Its my back door lol, ive never paid attention to the sky but since moving here i often look up and think thats weird. Sometimes its all orange/red looks like its on fire.
Ive no idea why the sky here is so strange at times.
But those clouds looked like they was just sweating lol. I wonder if im in a valley or something something affects the skies here. Jcb hq area.

Sounds like hes going to have the same sort of fun when i tried fitting a new magnetic sump plug to my car. Dont get me wrong, ive had magnetic sump plugs in the past, fitted to alloy sumps. My current car has a steel sump and non magnetic plug as standard. When i decided to swap it for a super duper magnetic one i didnt think about the fact that it was going into a steel sump. More difficult than youd ever think to make sure it wasnt going in cross threaded.

Lovely new 3s lipo for the Slash, 7 botched attempts at putting a deans connector on means I just split my iron in half with my axe. I'm done with soldering

Deans are just crap mate ive only tried cheap ones mayb they melt easier still. But genuine deans are usually said to be hard to solder on. I melted 10 pairs or so then found xt60 plugs. Tin them dunk the wire in like a bullet and fill her up. 10x easier i swear.
I have some solder guys on here recomend i haven't tried it yet but hoping it makes soldering easier. The stick type irons i couldn't use at all no heat. Now have a 50w maplins cheap ish and always improving now.
But ill stay away from deans myself. We all get abit of tech rage now and then lol.

Stunning sky so going up Dartmoor to view the whole lot in one go!

I have a hybrid Ebola/rickets/scarlet fever type of illness that forces my nostrils to create a suitable environment for Noah, damn it.
-
Good morning to all on this glorious day, one full of hope and opportunity for all.

Anyone tried those home DNA kits?
My boy has took to drifting like a natural, so disappointed, sure he can't be mine! Should never have got him the damn thing.

I don't plan on getting wet when I go in, only my feet! We have a Christmas morning paddle planned, quick 20mins followed by a drink in the pub in front of the log fire.
I love being out on it, late summer evenings we would go out and watch the Sun set while having a brew and a roll-up, the pair of resident seals swimming around us and dolphins playing nearby, amazing.

Charging up the belly with poached eggs on thick granary while the lipos charge then it's Yeti xl and Slash time on Dartmoor, bound to be some snow somewhere!
-
Should a soldering iron glow red halfway down the body?
-
Views on the Twin Hammers crawler - mate has his eye on one but I recall they weren't much cop, and never hear about them now.

Yeti xl status is -
Dead esc out, turnigy 2350 motor out, now to see if I can wait for a tenshock 6 pole or buckle and lob a HW combo in so she is running soon!
-
Sorted a part refund with the seller of my new Yeti xl for the smoked esc, race is on to get a new combo for it before Christmas.
-
Got my Yeti XL yesterday, plugged in lipos and nothing, charge lipos, plug in, nothing then beeps then hello magic smoke.
After the week I've had I just laughed!
-
It appears one has accidentally purchased a yeti xl! Dartmoor will be fun.
-
Just got a letter from the insurance sorts, £660 cash back on my premiums, or as I call it FREEEE MONEEEEY! That Carisma scaler is looking very nice now!
-
Is liking Spintires, I'm far too old for all that rushing around nonsense now, just a load of small logs to deliver and I'm happy!
-
Best drifter for £200 mark, for boy for xmas, just car parks and road use, I've tried talking him out of it but I can't so I have to get him one. I have failed as a father!

MST are normally good for pro level but maybe not for carpark or street use, Sakura D3 or D4 good as well, or HPI Pro D if you can find it, also Tamiya TT02 D spec is not bad with few tweaks.

What in the name of all that's Holy has happened to F1? Oh that's right, the septic's own it now!

Too True, Formula E is the future of top end motorsport, and far more interesting to watch in my opinion. I am sure there are others that are better, but I don't watch them so can't really comment.
To contrast, I also love the Goodwood Revivial, but that is only once a year. Again great racing and of such beautiful machines!

Running out of things to sell to fund the Yeti funding, anyone want to buy some stupid goldfish or a very needy pony?
