Finally after about 6 years my hyper 8.5 has been converted to electric, just done the first run. Only ran on 3s I'm impressed.

Hi, Having just bought my son a FTX Bugsta (very cheap as its his first RC), just wondering if anyone has any decent stick packs 7.4v around 4000 capacity as all my packs are old some i reckon are 30 years old now. Also I`m looking for a decent 3s lipo for my 1/8th buggy, just wondered what people have laying around not been used. Thanks for looking.

I'm looking for a shell for my sons recently acquired TL 01 chassis, what shells do you have laying around that you would like to sell. He's looking for cars that are rear wheel drive shells. Wheelbase 257mm Width we think is 190mm Thanks

I know it's a bit of a long shot, does anyone have any of the front spiked tyres that fit the speed disc wheels on the tamiya bear hawk, or know of anything similar that fit. The ones fitted are from a hotshot, they are too chunky and big.

I'm in the process of converting a hot wheels car into an RC car, I have all the electronics and everything sorted but I can't find a relatively cheap receiver and transmitter. There are small options out there but they cost too much, ideally the receiver needs to be less than 15mm in length. Can anyone help find an inexpensive receiver and a compatible receiver that will fit? I have a goolrc 2.4ghz transmitter but I don't know if the transmitter will bind to this receiver- Frsky Micro XM Receiver - Frsky Micro XM Receiver - Universal. Thanks

My son and I are looking to get into drifting. It seems that the sakura d4 is a good place to start. Is there anything else that it's worth considering/ looking at apart from the d4.

My motor and esc both have different connectors, the motor has a 6.5mm (10awg) male bullet and the esc has 4mm (12awg) female. What is the best option to join these, I don't fancy hard wire soldering together, would rather have a connector, it seems 6.5mm is an uncommon size, 6mm seems more common or am I measuring incorrect it's a goolrc 4076 2000kv motor. I have seen direct connectors which look like a good idea but will the motor work just aswell due to having more connections. Or is it best to replace the connectors on the esc to match the motor.

I think iv worked out the rpm correctly to 12,800 rpm using an 18t pinion running on 4s, 18t seems a good starting point. Thanks

When it was nitro it was running a 14t, do the electric cars run at the same speed as when they were nitro on the same tooth, I'm not sure how you compare the revs of the engine to the speed if the motor.

Finally getting round to converting the hyper 8.5 to electric, using the standard 46 tooth spur, I'm using a goolrc brushless 4076 2000kv 4 pole motor with a hobby wing 8BL150 esc, what size pinion would you recommend as im totally lost after reading so many different things, I'm thinking 18t would be a good one to go with, unless that's too high for this combo, I intend to use 4s. Only used for general bashing.
