    Have a look at the engine casing nearest the pull start housing, you might find its stamped or a sticker under the actual engine casing. Is there anything on the actual pull start housing ??

    Me too, but now they don't. The manufacturer stopped production. There's a video on here of me using it on my FG MT body.

    Hi Chris, Yes, I have previously used De-Solv-It on my FG MT body and it removed every last bit of paint really easily. Unfortunately that product is no longer made and what is floating around is very difficult to get hold of.

    Hi guys, I have a solid plastic FG BAJA body which was factory moulded red but it has been sprayed a couple of different colours since. Would anyone know what type of plastic these hard bodies were made from? I have a paint and varnish product ( Paint Panther for use on metal, wood and some plastics) that I want to experiment with but need to know the exact material used in the body shell before trying it. I've previously used nitromors on it last year without any melting of the body but this paint remover was not effective on even removing the paint.

    A bit obvious but have you checked that the wheels turning freely (together) by hand ? If not, they could be on too tightly.

      Thanks KORB. Only trouble is that I don't have the mobility to take advantage of it! Over 50 RC cars, plus about 20 boats, planes, helicopters, etc., many not run for a few years and not one of them been run in the last 12 months! Nowhere local that I can get my car near enough and takes me a couple of days to put a few in the boot!

     Back to work tomorrow after being off since Dec 21 and the basketing train fares have added another £10 per month for an 18 minutes trip each way. We certainly know how to be ripped off.

    Happy New Year!? All the parts are replaceable and the chassis can be straightened out with a block of wood and a hammer. Maybe consider replacing all plastic parts with metal.

    I'm using a 1-8 cell Recoil peak detection charger for the battery pack, I think I paid around £26 - £28 including the ENERG - PRO NIMH 6.0V SC - 33000h battery . Is the RC-3s not a Lipo battery? I think this is the charger you will need for that battery @ £14.99 incl VAT.

    Different chassis and layout. FG make a BMW M3 drift car so it's already been done. Google t2m-rc.fr you'll find it there. FG was sold to the French model maker/distributor t2m about 4 years ago .

    I'm trying to find which DEANS connectors I need for my 6V 33000 battery pack because the standard connectors have started to come apart causing loss of power to radio gear/ servos. Any advice greatly appreciated.

      Sorry, that's news to me. I converted to 5.5mm bullets years ago, they might of introduced new variants to their line up.

      Just search standard t plug deans.

       

      They do a micro set but they're tiny.

       

      Never seen any larger deans plugs, so news to me too.

       

      Buy genuine deans with the hard nylon (deep red)....some of the knock offs use babybel wax as the connector....:)

      I'd assume on that battery they'd be standard size.

      I've got some female ones here so if you want to measure how wide yours is I can compare it to mine.
