Hi everyone, this may well be a silly question however it may save me rooting through the garage searching for parts lol I have gained a fg monster truck, the guy I got it from said pretty much he ragged it and popped the engine (30cc so he says) so he brought another one ... 29cc ... which then he took the cylinder head off and put it on the popped one ... Obviously it ran like a bag of bolts.... so pretty sure those engines are shot... I do have a 29cc engine but it's baja fitment (where it lies down rather than upright) is there a way to fit these ? Can I transfer anything from one engine to another etc to do it or am I looking at a rebuild or new engine ? If I'm looking at a rebuild, how is it possible to be sure of the original engines head and piston size ? As I don't know what's original and what's not any more ... Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Not quite the answer I was hoping for but I'm taking that as the best advice ? bash it till it dies it is lol Is there any notable difference in the way of fittings for air box/exhaust or are they all the same on the outside ? Thanks ?

Hey, been a long while since I've been on here I got out of rcs for quite a while. I've now got a fg marder and a yama. The yama I got given ... it's got orange shocks and the orange upgraded suspension arms etc ... it seems as if it's the carbon 30cc but how would I tell the difference between that and the 26cc ? Is there a way of telling ? May well be a stupid question but I've googled images etc and other than the arms etc there doesn't seem to be a difference that I can see... someone could well have upgraded to these parts on the 26cc ... Any help would be appreciated

Hey does anyone know if oneil brothers ship to the uk ? or know of any uk suppliers of these engines ? Has to fit a losi 5ive :-) Cheers

Hey my internets playing up and cant seem to get onto hpi's link to the parts list/diagrams for one of these, can someone supply a decent working link please, or if you have step by step build pics that are detailed enough to see parts etc ive seen a few on youtube/google but not alotta good. Any help would be good.. Also ive heard of some pipes cracking the heads on these... Is it only with certain engines ? as i can buy a diff better engine if need be as its a "built from scratch" build so could know with knowing some good makes of engiine models and bits and bobs... heard people talking about better ported carbs too and heads.... its endless so any info would be good, i want this car to be as reliable as a standard engine but want to mod the engine power wise as reliable as i can haha Cheers

Now before you lot start yes i know there are alot of threads about this but with no definate answer as many dont state what they want from an exhaust pipe... now im after low end poke to mid end... top end doesnt really bother me too much i want the power out of the corners... At the moment this car is still in kit form..., ive bought this with intention of getting loads of integy and innotive parts etc before i start building as i see no point in building when im going to strip parts off to replace them lol I also want a pipe that looks good, i kinda like the ones that sweep round and through the back like the predater v2 pipe etc... Sound has to be a facter too im afraid i would like it to have a nice loud sound too it... Now if anyone could give personall experiences etc that would be awsome as no good getting advice on a pipe when the persons never had one haha Cheers

Well since all the coments about the billet head which are not great ive decided to wait and buy my losi 5ive then ill mod that one but keep the head standard lol
