  1. Hi everyone happy new year..just like to say first of all what an amazing buggy this dnb is..its so good I might have to think about selling my hardly used rovan as1..anyway I was wondering in the future I would like to upgrade stuff on the dnb when it finally gets worn but I'm having trouble finding a list of what is compatible..I see rcmodelz has standard parts for it but not much upgraded stuff..exhaust for example I cant find a tuned one for gold dust..do they exist?I was thinking maybe other cars have the same parts but it's really hard finding stuff if you don't know what your after.
  2. pins fit through perfectly its the shaft doesnt go through enough
  3. im thinking of grinding the pin down to get it in lol
  4. as you can see it looks like its a mm bigger
  5. hi all can someone help me with this problem here. i broke my diff shaft so i bought a new 1 from rc modelz they said the replacement part is a straight fit but today ive tried to fit it and it doesnt seem the case.. ive pushed it in as far as it will go but its impossible to get the pin through what should i do?
  6. hi thanks for the detailed reply..to be honest it didnt smoke to much when i was breaking it in..also it sounds really good almost like it has been fine tuned already..ill take a look at tuning a bit later..as for the brakes i thought the brake lever should be pointing at 12 oclock but then it has to travel to far to apply any pressure on the brake pads..i find quite alot of play in the lever if im honest but i did try the shim out..i would say my lever is at 2 oclock and is applying about 25% pressure when im at neutral.when i put the gas down i think it releases off the brakes..i need it at 25% though otherwise i cannot reach 100% brake pressure..im from dorset.yea i forgot 2 say i already have a super bee switch on it and i must say the new easy pullstart thing i bought is great also.
  7. update..i got the brakes working again it seems the shim i put in was causing it as i had no play in the discs..anyway i broke her in a bit today. im still not happy with the brakes tho..they are on slightly so when im a neutral its braking automatically, the brakes only come off when i open the throttle up..the thing is though i cannot get good brakes without the brake arm already applying pressure to the disc as i just dont have enough pressure from when i pull up on the brakes ive tried everything..1 other problem i had is when i did brake the engine would sometimes cut out if i didnt keep the revs up but i think that is an idle adjustment i might need.
  8. Hi I've had a look through the bags and I have found a shim..I put the shim on last night but it seems the holes are not in the correct place.. I'm gonna have to drill them out a little wider because when I slip them over the 2 bars it bends them inwards.
  9. i suppose what im asking here is how do i get the brake cam lever to return instead of staying on the brakes?im getting the feeling here i bought some junk so far lol.
  10. thanks for all the replies it has helped some what..its not been a good start i took it out today and on my first pull the cord did not retract and the recoil metal inside some how got loose so i need a new 1 to even start it up..anyway ive been playing with the end adjustments and i can get the brakes working better but now i have another problem after the brake lever puts the brakes on the lever does not retract at all and so the brakes are on slightly still on and rubbing.
