But what if it's not a Kraton XL? What if it's all new? What if it isn't riddled with V1 flaws?

We'll have to wait and see.

I wouldn't mind flat chassis if the GC stays in MT category (70-100mm) , DBXL-E has it and couple of others too so no issue there (for me at least)

but fully agree with weight/size of these cars, none of them are suitable for more than general bashing, once the mass start rolling you better know what you are doing

That would interest me, but no using the 1/8 drive-train, no locking diffs. I like being able to lock diffs, but it's all more to go wrong. Keep it simple.

    I'd agree with "sooner risking a V1 Arrma than a V1 Traxxas".

That's not reality though: in reality it's a V1 Arrma that has to go toe to toe with an upgraded/V2 X-Maxx. Fact is, you won't be sending either of those trucks. The Kraton XL won't be lighter than 20-25lbs, much like the X-Maxx. It'll probably be heavier actually if it uses a flat metal chassis. Any truck that size can't take a "borked" landing, if 25lbs at terminal velocity land on an a-arm, it'll snap. The X-Maxx can snap in half, i know of one. The Kraton bends considerably more often than an X-Maxx snaps in half though. And neither of that would happen to mine, since i'm a wuss with my RCs, so that's not even relevant (nor comparable to the 6s Kraton in the first place).

In the end, we'll all have to wait to see it in action. I might be entirely off, but at least at this moment, i don't really see the appeal of a bigger, slower, less "stunty" Kraton. For now.

I mean I can think of at least one person that sends/would send both 👀

Well yeah. But i'm not made of money and i don't subscribe to "i made a million on ebay, here's how" people. ;)

He's also the only person i've ever seen to break an X-Maxx in half.

Yeah no lol, whatever i'll be getting: X-Maxx, DBXL-E 2.0 or whatever Arrma is releasing, none of them will ever come home in a bin bag. Ask Simmyoto, he has my XXL2e now. :D

Maybe you would be made of money if you bought his eBay course 😉🤣🤣

Or maybe i'd be out of pocket and he a little richer.

Like it usually goes with these kinds of schemes. Doesn't matter if it's a small youtuber, or Trump University - "the bank always wins". Put it this way, if i had "the secret" to making millions on ebay, i'd be making millions on ebay. Not teaching others how to do the same asking for their money. :)

But hey, if you're interested, i could get you into the cosmetic business. You only need to buy 1000 of these face paintbrushes off of me. And you make more if you gather three more people interested in becoming a face paintbrush salesman, buying 1000 face paintbrushes off of me too.

If you excuse me now, there's a nigerian prince waiting for a small fee of £3000 so i can receive the millions of dollars that i inherited. :P

It's funny the DBXL was brought up. That had a pressed aluminium 4mm chassis and flexed terribly. It didn't bend but the rebound on a short jump meant it noses over. The E fixed it by adding another plate on the chassis. The 5ive chassis is 1mm thicker but it doesn't flex much and takes considerable force to bend.

Just finished watching that, is it genuine? 🤔

Would be hard to tell without the original picture, its very compressed. if it is its flat chassis, thats for sure.

Aussiercplayground posted something curious and involved a fair bit of drama on his Facebook page about someone releasing images on a new vehicle coming out, didn't say what make it was though. However judging by what he posted it seemed to me that it was about this new Arrma truck.

I think it has been taken down as I can't find it. But from what I saw was apparently some youtubers were sharing info on some "sensitive information" on a new vehicle and one of them leaked the image somewhere and claimed that Vas was the one who did it, or something along those lines.

I'd take this with a pinch of salt as I'm not entirely sure of what occurred however Vas was extremely angry and upset about it as he said due to this his relationship with whatever company it is is pretty much finished.

Yeah, I spoke with him and he is going off.. says his hh contact gave him that same photo in confidence and said no one else had it so they would know it was him.if he leaked it.... he was pretty mad saying his relationship with arrma is now.gonna be over, so I said he shouldn't have shared it with his friends then... and he replied that apparently he didnt have any friends any more. Long and short he says its genuine and it was sent to him by hh

    X-Maxx on christmas for me.

Would've taken an Outcast over an X-Maxx, probably - but the Kraton doesn't do it for me after a little thought about it. It's slower, less "stunty", less forgiving on landings than the 6s version.

And personally, the biggest problem (after making aware of it by someone else) - in the end, it's actually not an exciting vehicle. It won't be as ridiculous to drive/way more stable as an X-Maxx (due to lower CG and wider stance). But it also won't be as crisp as the DBXL-E 2.0. I'm sure it'll find fans, but for me, it's a bit half baked and i absolutely think they should've started the line with a slightly shorter wheelbased Outcast.

Well that was an anti climax I'm all caught up page 1 to here.

I dont like the look of that rc visible shock tower shock caps look to close together taking that eye sore wing off leaves the shocks vulnerable and one of my peeves is scuffed nasty shock/caps.  A nicer wing mayb and a wing can help protect stuff. But people hate monster trucks with wings.

I'm not sure why all the flat chassis MT bashing. Wasnt the tekno mt410 and proline 4x4 the two most dominant 1/10 and 1/8 monster trucks over the last couple of years. Xmaxx for 1/6.

If vas is the person I'm thinking of an aussie that  seemed like their YouTube spokes man thats brutal for him. That will teach him and since its kinda a floppy donkey I think arrma will blame him more and more as it unwindes. Oops over stepped his mark. Ide like to see an English youtuber be arrma's YouTube lackey anyway. It's a British company but you wouldnt know it without finding out. They dont exactly shout it like everyone else. Get some union Jack's on it I say.
