THE FULL-THROTTLE FREEDOM OF AVC® TECHNOLOGY

The patent-pending AVC systems adds a level of performance that simply cannot be found with any vehicle from any manufacturer other than Horizon Hobby. Like traction control in your full-scale vehicle, you can activate or deactivate the system on the fly and adjust the level of stability based on driving conditions. Any R/C vehicle can go fast and with AVC you can go faster while maintaining optimum stability in all driving conditions.

    £1499! :o

LOL! What a rip off, you must be bonkers to pay that for this. Seriously overpriced!

Looking at it I thought that's more like a £750 vehicle max.

I can see being as popular as Gary Glitters kids nursery!

Given how much lighter it'll be than say an Xmaxx, I'd imagine 6s to be very lively.

Yep but the esc can handle 8s so maybe there playing it safe so they don’t to a Xmaxx :P

50mph out the box is pretty quick for a 2 1/2ft long truck imo so do you really need more ?  if it only needs 6s to get there that’s a plus as the lipos will be cheaper :good:

    Decent specs and size.

    Performance should be good.

Can't justify one personally but looks like it could be a good buy.

    Whens it officially out?

Around the End of Feb middle of March is only guide I’ve had so far but plenty of places are already taking pre orders. Some say it could be earlier but I doubt it.

Just found this on FB from Chris Higa who is the large scale production manger at Horizon Hobby, might be of interest for those thinking of getting one.

The battery box is designed for standard length 140mm hardcase battery packs.  If you remove the foam battery spacer from the battery door, you will gain an additional 10mm.  So max length of the batteries will be about 150mm.  The height of the battery box is about 76mm

Hmm might cancel my preorder and wait it out if this is case and see which is better ?

Hard to say.  At least the SBR will only perhaps be difficult to work on. Never know with a Traxxas. Also can you buy from such a morally objectionable company?

The new Revo is due to be unveiled at Nuremburg in two months, and the 1/7 is due to be unveiled in the next week or so.

By the look of that pic, it’s a real looker too!
