  1. The biggest issue with MT fuel is the high oil content in the blends most commonly stocked in Hobby Stores etc. The fuel they stock is not a blend intended for cars, but more for planes/heli's where the motor is running flat out for longer periods of time and under different situations. There are good blends of MT fuel ( check their website...they do dozens of different ones) and their are totally unsuitable ones for use in a car. I can only get eh 'wrong' stuff locally and it's about 16% oil give or take. Way too oily for me. Smoky, horrid and hard to tune. It's important to do your homework on the composition of a fuel before buying. I have switched this year from Byrons to Optifuel, on the grounds of cost mainly. Optifuel is about 20% cheaper. BUT ..... I wouldn't use the Optifuel RTR ....I use the Race blend. 9% oil race...16% oil RTR. That's why the stuff is so damn smokey too! Well worth tasking hte time to check the manufacturers website....as you will find the composition listed there.

  5. very simple job, alittle messy though! It will be the diff for sure, its always happens. My advise is not to run it on grass or dirt to prolong life (alittle)

  7. This is a pic of a firestorm that was being sold on here a good few months ago. I saved this pic as it prompted me to get the badlands. I think the firestorm suits the bigger stance and with all four corners done!

  14. I think the best place to get stronger shock towers is from Fioroni in Italy, mine arrived in about 10 days: http://www.modellism...sp?art=OT-UR501 http://www.modellism...sp?art=OT-UR502 As I said in an earlier post the rear one has 3 rows of mounting holes so you can choose between standard or longer (upgrade) rear shocks without changing the tower (see pics): Stock driveshafts are plenty strong enough, i've bent one in 4 months of constant use (every Sunday) but a section of heatshrink tube around the outside of the CVD will prevent the internals going flying in the event of the grubscrew coming loose. The CVDs are also very wear resistant provided you lube them regularly. Just use spray grease from Halfords, there's not really any need to strip the CVD. Even if you run in sand/mud you can just blast them clean with WD40 and then re-lube them. If you want to upgrade the rear/centre dogbones get onto ebay international and just search for "Hot Bodies D8" where you can find Hara edition D8 driveshafts for less than half the price they are in the UK. In fact the Vorza is basically an electric D8, almost all the suspension/transmission parts are the same so this is where I get most of my bits these days. Hope this helps!

  16. Is it just to change colour you fancy the arms ? Looking at his stuff and location, I'd guess they are just another Chinese seller, but branding the packets. The tyres he sells have RovanSport written on them So my guess would be all the parts are Rovan or KM in new bags. Now that's not defo a bad thing, but they'll be no better than HPi arms in terms of strength. If it's cheap coloured arms you want, they will do the job. But having seen stock vs RPM arms, I'd stay stock and carry a few spares

  19. You mean the Pro Graphix shell? That won't come with BL stickers either ( only the original shell that comes with the BL erevo will have those stickers on it- just hand-paint or stencil on 'Erevo BL' if it makes you feel better ), and a quick google search of the part number TRX-5611X suggests every shop this side of the atlanic is out of stock; not a terribly popular item, or incredibly popular maybe ( hard to tell, lol ). Ordering from the USA is your only option, but the unpainted stocker is fine- just do a nice simple 1 colour paint job and don't worry about the aerial hole- the shell will be trashed soon enough anyway I'm guessing

  24. TBH mate, I wouldn't worry about it. Take heart from the fact that he just talked about the idea with you before you parted with money as I have. I put my trust in someone who has perhaps shown his true colours....... the 'designs' he did for me were awesome but I know I can get the same if not better (ie as in ACTUALLY) getting them elsewhere. By being so un-professional he's lost out on a ton of business but that is clearly un-important to him. Better the devil you know....... There's nowt so queer as folk. nuff said
