Well that's annoying. HPI have discontinued those can you believe it. Why would they swap out those pins for the rubbish E-ring ones in the first place? Same goes for the 3.5mm shock shaft rebuild kit for the LSP, My front standard shocks feel loads stronger now with those in just need a pack for the rears.

Getting fed up with HPI discontinuing some of the decent strong parts to replace them with bits of tin.

Very true but still, the standard parts on the rtr should really last more than 5 packs!!!!

Snapped axles - bent front shock shafts - snapped front rear diff suspension holder - those steel diff gears - stripped front steering arms - so called front brace constantly falls off - body cracks at the front wheel arches - chassis bends like cheese - stock tyres hard compound has a bad wear rate (on grass and gravel!) - e-rings have fell off losing shafts at the back - snapped carriers.

Anything I missed? :D

Looks about the same as mine. If you think you need more then just go to the inner hole. Are the pulse shocks a hair shorter perhaps? Stock length is 122mm. Even 2mm shorter shocks can change the angle a couple of degrees. If so just use the inner.

@Shiesty2000

The droop on my stocker with the shocks on the inner hole and screws backed out. Surprisingly the arms don't quite rest on the chassis tabs and doesn't look too much lower yours.

jus like pretty much anything made these days. ...cheap crap materials..but they could use the better metal plastics ect. ..but they wanna save money so won't ....but then there spares hop up market would soon die if nothing broke on our rc's ...but yeah 5 packs is disgusting tbh.....jus shows how crap the rtr ' s r out the box i spouse. ..my mt4g3 is box stock apart from a savox. .diff cups and a chassis braces....and apart from a front arm it has et really broken anything.....Ok it got diff problems but I thk this is more my crap diff building skills tbh...not the quality of the parts....no bent shocks...shafts...chassis ect....and I've lost count how many packs. ..4-6's mainly it's had through it. .. God dam women.

After a slightly heated discussion It has been decided by God that (and I quote) you and your f*****g car can live in the shed.

On the plus side I can have some peace and quiet.

I was under the impression that your droop setting is when all four wheels are on the ground and laiden with weight ie batts/ full tank of fuel, you would then adjust the droop to get the desired 'squat'? before I added my droop screws the front arms used to rest on the fins (they soon bend straight) and in mid air it would do the opposite of bottom out, and I put my broken shock piston/disc down to this lol

I did replace it with hardened gears but my question is why did it wear down? The diff only has a gallon of fuel run through it

Was it dry, or did it have oil/grease in it?

Are these droop screws necessary?

I'm assuming that Shiesty2000 means his standard c**p steel gears went (say no more). When you have the steel ones and the hard ones in the housing the hard ones are level with the top and the steels are a little bit below which tells me that the steel ones aren't close enough once it's put together. I did get a bit more life with a 0.2 penny shim behind the pin under the larger spider gear at both ends. I haven't blown any hard gears at all yet in any of my 3 diffs 8 months on. i blew 3 stock sets in 2 months.

I'm wondering myself if the droop screws are absolutely necessary. I did have to use them when I put some shocks on to try out that were way too long which bent the arms. I set mine to a bit below arms level and it's been left there ever since.

Yes they were the standard c**p gears lol. And it had plenty of oil in it. I just can't believe hpi builds it with such weak gears. Edited by Shiesty2000
