[email protected]
how long do you leave the pipe in the freezer for? thanks
Matt B
Till the water/milk has frozen, so a good few hours. You should be able to check it and tell.

dazj10
this would only work on a quality pipe though, if you were to do it on a stock hyper pipe it would probably split the weld first, they not that strong to begin with
mrhavana
What do people use to plug the ends? I've tried this a couple of times using pencil erasers cut to a bung shape and then secured by wrapping in electrical tape. Both times the water pushes one of the bungs out or just pushes past them. Would milk be any different?

camstreet
hi guys, sorry for bringing up a dead thread and everything but i've tried this wit blu-tak and well it's done a good job i'll give it that, it's brought the dent out pretty well but theres just one last part of it that it doesnt want to do, and I've done it a few times and fully left it to solidify and what not, but the blu-tak just doesnt seem to hold against the pressure and I dont have much faith in wet bog roll lol, so any other suggestions? or a tip on how to use the bog roll? and should I use milk for the last part of the dent? RCbutcher
That's neat would it work on a manifold for revo
Scotty Rex X
what sort of "dents" are we talking about. jus tbought a new pipe first outing and ive smashed the exit a good 1.5 cm into the exhaust. would this still sort it ?
bodgemonkey
Yup that this should work, you might need to do it a few times but make sure you don't split the pipe
Scotty Rex X
would a good idea be fill the manifold end with we toilet paper and put in the freezer to freeze and then fill with water and seal up everything else ? im pretty skeptical of you you can contain that much pressure to bend the metal back. bodgemonkey
Yeah that's it really. Water expands when it becomes ice, you'd be surprised how much pressure it will exert, it's only a big piece of 1-2mm ally tubing anyway
Thunderwolf
im pretty skeptical of you you can contain that much pressure to bend the metal back. 36 inches of ocean ice is able to hold the 40tons of american lorry and more, ice is alot stronger than you may think in the right places.
