Have just this second ordered myself a HBX rockfighter. Does anybody know of any batteries that will fit into the battery cage so i can order some for when it arrives. Can the esc run lipos? cheers Alex

Initially I was looking to buy a crawler a hbx rockfighter to be exact. well I was having a look on model sport and came across the traxxas summit vxl 1/16th scale. 1st question. are they any good at crawling ? not competitively just a bit of fun on the weekend. would it keep up with say a maverick crawler ? 2nd question Are they waterproof to a point where i could chuck it in the lake like there big brother ? any information would be appreciated as I don't wont to blow a good bit of money and be let down by its performance. cheers Alex

would a good idea be fill the manifold end with we toilet paper and put in the freezer to freeze and then fill with water and seal up everything else ? im pretty skeptical of you you can contain that much pressure to bend the metal back.

was going to ask how do you prime a clear shell haha

what sort of "dents" are we talking about. jus tbought a new pipe first outing and ive smashed the exit a good 1.5 cm into the exhaust. would this still sort it ?

Can anybody point me in the direction of a thread on how to paint a shell. pretty handy will all paint and vinyl but never really sprayed a shell. do you need laquer after words do you flat it back ? how do you go about it ??

Should have tried getting it out from the other side doesnt matter damaging that surface.

i bought a rex x a few weeks back. i litrally had it swimming top of the shell just above the water, its fair to say i learnt the hard way not to do it again, initally the radio gear was fine wasnt untill the next run a few days later that it all failed. so easy enough if it gets wet just try your best to dry it out. hope this helps

hi there, bought myself a 3 chamber tuned exhaust for my rex x on a .21 engine. put the exhaust on and took it on a run and it was so down on power and really boggy, so i put the old exhaust on problem solved. how would i go about tuning the engine to the exhaust and is this a good idea otherwise il send it back. will the engine temp increase what do i need to consider worry about ?? cheers Alex

hi lads, new on the forum and to nitro cars really. but ive just requested to join your page on facebook. ive got a GV rex x that i will post some photos up on facebook later on. there are a few of my mates who have also just bought cars, 5 in total so hopefully the weather should be good and we may all pop up and have a look at what youve got going on. hope to see some of you on the weekend (if the cars back together) next weekend Cheers Alex

cheers for the response lads. i havent got into it much but should be going up the track this weekend. answers are spot on was just abit suspicious if there was more behind it such as system pressure or anything along those lines. well saying that i took mine out over the weekend and flipped it a few times and with the lines as short as possible it was still running and i took it as a good thing. it does idle lovely and over the weekend the only time it died was from lack of fuel. Hi there, im relitivly new to the nitro scene and looking at all the new buggies ect. and the none of the fuel lines travels the direct root to either the carb or exhaust. some even go around the engine and then onto the carb. is there any reasoning behind this ?? just repalced all my fuel lines and made them as short as possible leaving some slack on them. Can anyone shine a light on this please cheers Alex

cheers for the advice lads. the engines a good 5 years old so im not to dependant on getting some more power out of it so ive settled with the edit pipe. when i spend a bit more money on a better buggy then i will definatly be looking into the jp4 or the hongnor set up. cheers for all the advice Alex

Just on the look out for a tuner exhaust for my rex x. i know there are a good few on model sport. Hi there, new to the forum and havent had a nitro car since i was 10 (dad used to do all the technical stuff back then) just bought a tamco fhss transmitter and receiver. all works fine but the instructions are terrible and i cant figure out for the life of me how to set the fail safe. tried setting break position on stick and trim then binding the receiver with no joy. Any ideas or experience? slightest bit of info would be awesome. only had the car a week and the owner of the model shop is probably fed up of me already cheers Alex
