Hi,

i want to make my hpi savage lower but i don't know how to do it so can anyone help please

thanks

Rhys

Sorry buy why the hell would you want to do that? When doing huge jumps, dont you want the higher ground clearance so the suspension takes the most of the hard landing? Just a thought.

i've removed all the clips on the shocks and moved them to the 1st mounting postition. It seemed to sit lower than in the shocks were at the 3rd hole. Handles great on flat grass.

(the first hole in the lowest one. the holes are closest to eachother.

The racers use the lower centre of gravity chassis plates that you can get and widen the track aswell, that seems to solve the rollover problem that the Savage and most MTs suffer from...

Take off 1 of the shocks on each cornor then put the preload spacers back in, this togehter with the shock limiting mod = slammed savy

I will post some pics up of my savy to show you how low they go

adding a short length of Fuel tube to the shaft on the inside of each shock would work too..

Perhaps using heavier oil will help with the reduced shock travel.

When you take apart the shock there's a plastic "piston" on the top that has 2 holes in, he drills those out.

See in the middle, there's the shaft... and by the nut is the "piston" (basically a small plastic disc) with the holes in.
